  1. I finished season 1 last night and watched the first episode of season 2. I don't know whether I like that they're the same actors in a new role in a new story. Constance was a great character. Violet/Tate gave off a Casper the friendly ghost vibe at times. Zachary's Quinto's Chad was great and the showdown between Chad and Constance was fun, "Man must not lie with man; it is an abomination." "So is that hairdo, but I figure that's your business."
  2. There's an article on Martinez in the Four Four Two weekly (free e-magazine). http://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/football-weekly-free-from-fourfourtwo
  3. Have we ever had a player from Kashyyyk before?
  4. The match version concept has been going for years, it's usually a limited run though. It's the same material as the one the players use where as the normal one is made with different materials. They'll be in Sports Direct for £20 before long. (I've never bought an England shirt)
  5. When broadband was first introduced it was originally uncapped (branded as "unlimited" where you can download as much as you desire) and a flat fee. In recent years the ISPs have added a usage cap, and charge extra per gigabyte for each gigabyte after 30gb download per month. Some are what I think you'd refer to as 'grandfathered' in to uncapped ("unlimited") contracts. Also, in most cases in the UK the broadband uses the same line as the telephone line. It's £15 for the 'line rental' (to have an active phone line) and broadband on top of that which can be £5-20 extra. There are companies that use cable which is generally quicker but I've never live in an area where it's been available. There is a currently a roll-out for optic fibre broadband which still uses the phone line but offers 'up to' 76Mbps download speed - that costs the equivalent to $840 for the year. There are still rural areas where broadband isn't available.

  8. I've been watching American Horror story.. currently on episode 5 of the first season. I like it a lot.
  9. What happened to Conor Grant? He was involved in pre-season but I don't remember him taking part in the league.
  10. The BBC's Dan Roan really irritates me. His type of coverage is what I think the BBC shouldn't be. I can expect it from the profit-driven businesses who need to create their own stories to boost further sales, but I don't expect it from the BBC whose mission it should be is to actually bring news. It's just shit-stirring. Some tweets from today: "To Thorp Arch training ground to try and ask crisis club Leeds United's players how they feel about not being paid this month" and "To David Moyes press conference where he'll be asked about planes & protests - could be interesting", and now he's posting photographs of a plane chartered to have a banner with a message aimed at David Moyes".
  11. I imagine it involves buying more land. There's a bit available. Though it could be the plans are already in place and its the caravan site (Halewood Park?) north of Lower Road.
  12. Martinez has been talking about it a bit more in the press conference.
  13. The Barcelona President says they have decided on several players' futures but have not made a decision on whether Deulofeu will return to them next year. "We want to Rafinha to return, with regards to Deulofeu, no decisions have been made but yes I Rafinha want to come back". http://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/bartomeu-valdes-tiene-las-puertas-abiertas-del-barca-3225069
  14. I edited out the bit where he said we sold £40m worth of players and and bought in £13m. I only took the quotes relating to Finch Farm.
  15. It says right there in the third quote box, tv money. Don't you read the forum Romey?
  16. Roberto Martinez says Finch Farm must continue to be improved and has plans to include accommodation at Finch Farm. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/27/roberto-martinez-everton-rebuild-training-round

  18. I've received this email, it will probably appeal to some as there seems to be a fair few from the Wirral on here. Direct link: http://www.floralpavilion.com/calendar/2014-4-25
  19. Both clubs have now confirmed it. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/03/27/vellios-loaned-to-blackpool http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/article/premier-league-striker-joins-273-1450143.aspx
  20. A trailer for the Turtles film is out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCjsWpM9zFU
  21. It sounds pretty complicated 54 teams divided into four groups (14/14/13/13 for arguments sake) Each group divided into four pools of four three Then they play friendlies against teams in the same pool The four group winners in the top division will then meet for a semi final to decide who goes to the final. So it looks like a five game tournament - every two years at most.
  22. This has come up a few times this season and it usually boils down to "Your loanee players worked out better than ours, it's not fair".
  23. I was listening to a podcast earlier featuring Arnie.. he said he's going to be working on a sequel to Twins this year called Triplets. His and Danny Devito's character's mother dies and at the will reading they find out about a third brother.. played by Eddie Murphy, and they go forth and try to find him. I'm not making that up.
