  1. I hated that one. The controls were too different from the Fight Night 3 and I just didn't find it enjoyable.
  2. Did you see the "George Lucas" special edition ? With added rocks etc. J - I'm now fully up to date with Arrow. I thought it was excellent. It's sad that the Middle Earth films are coming to an end, they've been great too. I'll have to watch the Desolation of Smaug again before the next one. Slade Wilson is the same actor as Azog the Defiler.
  3. Asda apparently sold eight thousand televisions today. It's insane, most of the the tvs they were selling were their own brand (Polaroid) too.
  4. It's only the past couple of years that it's been prominent. This year is the first time I've seen it so widespread. I think it was typically used as an Amazon promotion to get rid of surplus stock but other major retailers have joined in. I like the Steam Black Friday sales... the hypocrite I am.
  5. It shouldn't even be a "thing" in the UK. There's a video of a minor scuffle in Asda going around: https://player.vimeo.com/video/113072461

  7. Merseyside's equivalent to the Oyster Card is launching on the Wirral on the 24th. It takes its name from the John Lennon song "I am the Walrus"... it's become a bit tiresome having things named after Beatles-related things now. :shaking fist: It seems to be sold in more shops than the saveaway (a scratchcard where you scratch off the corresponding date and can use it on unlimited journeys in a certain zone during a period of time). I'm pretty interested to see how this goes, although for some reason, it can't be used during peak times. http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/Tickets/smartsaveaway/Pages/default.aspx
  8. I suspect you're right, it's not all bad though. Jagielka made his international debut in a game versus Trinidad and Tobago. Heidi Blake of the Sunday Times has just tweeted more "FIFA Files", the Sunday Times were given a collection of emails from a whistleblower. The ones to be published tomorrow are related to Mohammed Bin Hammam involvement in the Qatari World Cup bid. He had previously denied he was involved. At this point, I think people simply don't care and shrug their shoulders. Someone who works for FIFA blogged about working there and his response when people ask how he can work at such a corrupt organisation. http://aramblingstone.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/context-is-everything-ive-never-done.html
  9. It's pretty odd how nothing is being made of the FA's attempt to schmooze Jack Warner though; trying to find his son a part-time job and paying for a Caribbean delegates gala.
  10. You might say he'd have "Devine inspiration" on the academy players.
  11. http://5newsonline.com/2014/11/07/official-43-mexican-students-killed-burned-dumped-on-mayors-orders/ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/centralamericaandthecaribbean/mexico/11217911/Mexico-gang-members-confess-to-killing-missing-43-students.html That's horrific. Forty three protesters training to be teachers were handed over by Mexican police, on orders from the local mayor to gangs who killed them, burnt the bodies, ground the bones into small pieces so they can't be identified and then disposed of them into a river.
  12. I was a bit disappointed with the Turtles film. I didn't like that Splinter wasn't originally a Japanese man or that it was April O'Neil who had the turtles as pets. Shredder was ok, a bit reliant on blades though.
  13. There are a few people criticising Leon Osman who himself has criticised Cahill's decision to do a lap of honour at the end of the 2012/13 season. Osman felt the day belonged to Neville and Moyes. It is too early for him to release a book (imo).
  14. The original Sgt. Bilko was Phil Silvers, even I knew that.
  15. SO J.. May 1, 2015: Avengers: Age of Ultron July 17, 2015: Ant-Man May 6, 2016: Captain America: Serpent Society Nov. 4, 2016: Doctor Strange May 5, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2 July 28, 2017: Thor.- Ragnarok Nov. 3, 2017: Black Panther May 4, 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 July 6, 2018: Captain Marvel Nov. 2, 2018: Inhumans May 3, 2019: Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2 I'm taking my nine year old cousin to see TMNT tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be good..
  16. This is pretty interesting:
  17. South Africa's captain has been shot dead. http://www.soccerladuma.co.za/news/articles/categories/south-africa/senzo-meyiwa-has-been-confirmed-being-shot-dead/190090
  18. I watched "Maron" and really enjoyed. Similar to "Louie" except it's about Marc Maron.

  21. James Yates talks about his England career (so far). http://www.thefa.com/news/england/development/2014/oct/step-up-to-england-u17s-has-made-us-grow-up-says-james-yates-231014
  22. I approve. Though the bike coming out of the ship looks a little iffy.
  23. I've done a search and didn't see it posted. http://www.itv.com/europa-league/duncan-ferguson-exclusive-no-regrets-over-my-conduct-on-the-pitch
