I heard a rumour about 'new anfield' apparently it can not be UEFA 5 star stadium because there isn't 1000 hotel rooms in Liverpool of a 5 star standard which means the biggest footballing competition final it could host is the UEFA Cup as it 'only' requires 500 rooms of 5 star or above. Have you heard that of that before ? If that is s the case it makes moving from a 4 star stadium to a 4 stadium a bit farcical and very expensive.

A German tour would be good experience for us.. we'd get to see the new stadiums first hand and many German stadiums still have terraces so it could be enjoyable.. I fear the problem may be travelling costs.. Failing that we could have a friendly tournament at Goodison and invite.. I can't remember the last time Everton played decent European opposition abroad in a pre-season friendly (I'm not counting the Scottish teams or the Austrian teams who Unsworth said had the abilitiy of 'pub teams'.). I think it would be suiting if we had a few games in France,Germany, Holland or Spain in the summer just to give us fans something affordable to go to.. the average fan can't afford to go Texas for a match and Scotland doesn't have the appeal..

I've heard that Nike are buying out Umbro so that they can have the England contract. I'm not too happy about that personally.. I wouldn't like a Nike Everton kit, I'm one of the few who'd prefer an Adidas style kit if any. Still.. it'd be interesting to see how umbro treat Tesco once they are declared official Everton partners.. perhaps that is Tesco's target.. to be able to sell replica football shirts in their stores.
