    Technical Support

Dear Tech Support: Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 1.0.11 to Wife 1.5.x. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.5.x installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.5.x in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 1.0.11, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.5.x Please help! Thanks, A Troubled User. REPLY: Dear Troubled User: This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 1.0.11 to Wife 1.5.x, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.5.x is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.5.x and to return to Girlfriend 1.0.11. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. (Backup of Girlfriend 1.0.11 will also not work efficiently once Wife 1.5.x is installed.) You cannot go back to Girlfriend 1.0.11 because Wife 1.5.x is designed to not Allow this. Look in your Wife 1.5.x manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child Support." I recommend that you keep Wife 1.5.x and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C: \ APOLOGIZE. Because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.5.x is a great! program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.5.x comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.5.x is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0! WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.5.x and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system. Soon a new improved stable version wife 1.5.x will be available .So you are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. If you try to violate the above recommendations, you will find yourself in trouble sooner or later.

  3. I noticed there are petitions for Bob Paisley and Peter Osgood to receive a Posthumous knighthood... but I don't see the point in bestowing such an honour to someone who won't be able to appreciate it regardless of their achievements.
  4. Alright scouse... It's likely that it's more to do with spyware than problems in the registry.. If you want to check them out.. I recommend both Adaware ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com ) and Spybot Search and Destroy ( http://www.safer-networking.org ).. Also I find Hijackthis invaluable ( http://www.merijn.org )..
  5. That's a strange one, wasn't he on loan to Bournemouth last year as he couldn't get a game at Crewe following an injury ? Saying that he has seemingly proved himself and is now vice captain of Crewe.
  6. There are probably loads of large cephalopods in the antarctic regions, some experts think that beneath the icey surface there are air pockets the size of Anglessey and predict that many undiscovered species live. Some loons also beleive they could be distant cousins of Nessie.
  7. Droobie.. there a whispers that the club don't want to qualify for Europe as it activates clauses in player contracts that will see them pickup large bonuses.
  8. To keep the back row quiet. Licker especially
  9. What is it with people and Manuel Fernandes? He has only played 1 game and people want us to spend 12million on him on that performance.

  11. It's only Osman under Moyes who has gone on loan and come back to the first team.. I think he uses loan moves to put players in the shop window. I agree that JV may never play for us again.

  13. Singer from Wavertree, was in the band 'Mansun' who did the song 'wide open space' which was later remixed by Oakenfold
  14. It was a sympathy vote... Newcastle has a lot more amenities IMO. Liverpool is more reputable, everyone in the world has heard of Liverpool and so I reckon the people who decided who to attribute capital of culture decided cash in by using brand Liverpool to attract more tourists to the UK... Wasn't Dublin capital of culture two years ago and all that happened was they got new roads..
  15. Chester is a traditional roman city.. decent views and a lot history.. it's worth going there Manchester is a metropolitan city and its more for girls who like shopping You might like wales... it's an aquired taste..
  16. You should work for the tourist board.
  17. Not much in Liverpool worth seeing! The airport is in a derelict part of the city (Speke). Only thing I'd recommend is Albert Dock even though there is nothing there, you coudl obviously take a ferry or a duck tour and obviously Goodison. Liverpool Museum is ok. If your lucky you will be able to go to the records office and see the Everton collection Seriously Joe, don't get your hopes up.
  18. Sounds a bit like a darker u2.
  19. You both will be happy to know that Paul Draper commented on Toffeetalk myspace
  20. Match of the Day 2 presenter Adrian Chiles has confirmed that he is one of a number of BBC employers who have been sent soiled toilet paper in the post. According to The Sun, 'police are investigating a string of packages posted to some of broadcasting's best-known names since mid-January.' "I've had seven or eight lots," said WBA fan Chiles. "It's disgusting. The smell of someone else's s*** is not something you want first thing in the morning." In a statement, the BBC refused to disclose the names of the other corporation staff who have also received the unwanted mail in recent weeks. "We try to avoid commenting on individual cases because, very often, those sending such mail gain pleasure from publicity," it said. "When we can identify the sender of such materials, they can expect a visit from the police."
  21. Has anyone heard a rumour that David Moyes and academy director Ray Hall have clashed? Apparently David Moyes pointed out that the academy has not been productive of late and players were not good enough for the first team (possibly including Anichebe and Vaughan!?) and wanted an explanation and Ray Hall threw it back in his face by enquiring why David Moyes 's only visits to the Netherton academy twice a year. Also heard Ray Hall could be retiring at the end of next year and this guy from crewe Paul Bennett is his long term replacement.
  22. I'd rather see it hosted in Oz. Less roadworks and hype here . Im of the minority who loved it when the world cup was hosting the competition and when you got up in the morning it was footy and once it turned 11am you had the day to yourself !
