  1. This guy has put it more eloquent than I ever could:
  2. Hasn't been proven false. I've head the Nugent is a done deal yet the papers havn't picked up on it and are linking him to Liverpool of all places. It's just daft, mind you it was the sun.
  3. Best make the most of it before next season then
  4. About time someone sensible gave his opinion... so here's Ian Holloways take on it: What an absolute crock of doughnuts. Has an American taken over the Football League or something? They don't like draws in their soccer matches either do they? In my opinion, that's just mad.
  5. A husband settled his divorce by sawing up his house and taking his “half” in a forklift truck in Sonneberg, Germany.
  6. Does anybody else feel like we are not getting a fair crack at the whip from the soft southerners? Do you think that they are trying to belittle us by linking our players to other clubs, is it just idle gossip or are they.. (conspiracy time) Spurs supporting reporters trying to upset the cart on route to Europe? Recent Stories (all proven false with exception of Cahill): Cahill lined up for Ferguson and has played his last game Arteta linked with Spain with quotes taken out of context AJ linked with West Ham with some bullshit story Lescott linked with Real Madrid Tim Howard not signing and going back to Man Utd Yobo linked with Man Utd and Chelsea
  7. Bare in mind Ball's available on a free
  8. ccrington Stanley v Torquay United - FREE ADMISSION Accrington Stanley Football Club are delighted to announce that there will be no admission charge for entry to Saturday's home match against Torquay United, with the aim of attracting a bumper crowd to boost the side in what has been described as the biggest game in the club's history. Speaking about the decision Stanley Chairman Eric Whalley said "Saturday was obviously disappointing because we came away empty handed from Swindon, however it was always going to be difficult to take something from that game in particular. What made it more frustrating was that the other teams around us all picked up points. Now our focus turns to Saturday's match against Torquay, the first of five remaining home games this season. There has been some unrest in recent weeks for one reason or another, but now it is essential that we all pull together and unite behind the team. We are all Stanley supporters and we all want what is best for the football club." Reiterating his comments last week Eric continued Unfortunately we cant afford to follow the Premiership and slash our ticket prices week in week out as our gate revenue is a much higher portion of our turnover without the television millions that go into the game at the top level. However we hope that this gesture will be seen as us making a real effort to draw everyone together in these last couple of months. It has been a real rollercoaster ride in recent years, fortunately with more ups than downs, however it is at times like these that we must stand together and be strong. The Torquay match is perhaps the biggest ever in our history, as the League Two bottom side visit the Fraser Eagle Stadium, it is essential that we make our home ground a true fortress. Further details regarding which turnstiles to use etc will be released shortly.
  9. Town will packed because it's paddys day... best day of the year to go into town.
  10. Do you ever pop down to the academy as it is smurfy? Anyway its 10miles
  11. Welcome GM.. if you take any photos at the game or stadium tour let us know
  12. Apparently he's signed a pre-contract meaning he will stay at swindon til end of the season... potentially £1.5million
  13. Would you have him back after his impressive start at man city?
  14. The council did make a £163million profit last year so they could afford any renovation work..
  15. I don't think so Joe.. it's not very well known here to be honest.. I've only heard of it because of the xbox games :\
  16. Would like to see AJ take the express to court over libellous claims
  17. Apparently he's an Evertonian structural engineer who was part of Newcastle Councils team when they were redeveloping their city centre.. I went to Newcastle last year for a week and I thought it looked great..
  18. It's a load of crap.. He's not even from London. He's from Bedford - near Luton
  19. This guy seems to think it's possible: http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/06-07/comm...14-Skempton.pdf
  20. Welcome Gaz... I hope you find this useful: http://www.westcountryblues.org.uk/
  21. Apparently the council would like us to stay - probably because of lost income. There was a meeting in town last Saturday and the council leader who's a season ticket holder attended, he said he is desperate to keep everton in the city and has tried to talk the club out of Knowsley but they are not listening.
  22. Theoretically - If Liverpool City Council say to the enemy.. you can have 80,000 capacity but you have to share stadium and stadium costs with Everton.. Would you welcome the move?
  23. My housemate from two years ago is a Birmingham-born Indian he supported Liverpool. I asked him why not Villa or Birmingham City, he said he likes Liverpool and doesn't know why.. needless to say I hated living with him when they won the Champions League. I was the only Evertonian in the house, three didnt like football but all supported Liverpool because of the name. I also think that they will fill their 80,000 stadium with ease. It's a sad time to be an Evertonian.. Liverpool opting for 80,000 all seater yards from their current stadium and it's bitter pill to swallow when Everton opting to move out of the city for 60,000 all seater (less than 20,000 seats). It's a crying shame.
  24. Jackelz.. could you explain why in your opinion that Tescos offer is crap? You're a few years younger than me and I'd be interested to know what the younger fans think and the reasons for it
