David Moyes has rubbished speculation regarding the future of Andrew Johnson. The Blues striker has been linked in the press with a big-money move to West Ham United but the manager has no intentions of considering a bid from any club. "AJ was a top player at Everton last season and he will be again next season," Moyes told evertonfc.com. Certain reports are suggesting that the Hammers owner, Icelandic billionaire Thor Bjorgolfsson, is ready to bankroll a bid for Johnson but Moyes added that the Upton Park club still couldn't afford the player! "The West Ham consortium wouldn't have enough money to buy Andrew Johnson or any other Everton player," he quipped. "And for them to think they could shows a lack of understanding of our game." Moyes splashed out a club record £8.6m on Johnson's services twelve months ago and has seen an excellent return on his investment with the England man top-scoring for the club and earning rave reviews for a string of first-rate displays.

Next seasons away kit is white and black with a green chang logo. I've not seen the 3rd kit yet (Personally I hope it is amber and blue again - I was never a fan of the black kit - too much like a referee's kit.) I'm not a fan of the Umbro brand but when you bare in mind that Everton are a great traditional club, it's good to see that they are using an English manufacturer to produce their kits as opposed to German (Adidas), American (Nike).

It's like that film "thank you for not smoking" when the rep says to the anti-smoking campaigner that he has more interest in smokers dying than the cigarette company because the ciggie company lose a customer and the campaign gets more people involved whenever someone dies. Does anyone know if the number of smokers has risen or fallen since the govt stopped cigarette advertising? I fear that if gambling, cigarettes and alcohol all become taboo subjects for advertisers then they may well become more popular.

The kids kits next season will not be allowed to have Chang on them. This is to help cut down binge drinking somehow.

It's just hotting up now.. we had ep 16 on Monday. It's been getting 600,000 viewers - a lot of a satelite channel. The BBC have bought rights for series 1 and 2 from July (we don't get the silly break after reaching the halfway points in the series!).

Koumas would be a good addition to the squad.. but 4million is a bit steep.. Moyes didn't fancy spending 2million on him from Tranmere a few years back. He's a local lad (from Bromborough) so would have no problem settling down in Merseyside. If the price was right I'd have him here.
