  4. His agent has come out and said it's a rumour and there is no truth in it whatsoever. http://www.kickoff.com/stories/story11746.html Recent speculation linking Bafana Bafana midfielder Steven Pienaar to a move to the English Premiership have been rubbished by his business manager Rob Moore. Pienaar is said to be unhappy at his Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund, and the speculation has been fuelled by talk that both Manchester City and Everton are interested in the services of the 27-year-old. “There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever,” Moore tells Kick Off

  6. A moving experience for 'greats' of Everton Jul 18 2007 Liverpool Daily Post Yesterday, the Daily Post exclusively revealed the first financial details of the deal which could take Everton FC to Kirkby, with Tesco paying £50m towards anew stadium. Today we speak to several prominent Evertonians for their views about the stadium move Three 'true Blues' give their reaction to the proposals LIKE most Evertonians I have only the fondest memories of visiting Goodison Park as man and boy. But do we want to stay buried in the past? I don't. Let's be realistic. The club needs the extra income, and if we can make that leap why not do it virtually debt-free? It's about time we put aside our tribal instincts and ignore what the other lot in red are doing. This move represents real progress for our club.DAVE MOFFITT I CAN'T accept Keith Wyness's comments that it is all or nothing concerning the ground move to Kirkby. This sounds like scare- mongering to me. If this is truly the case, let's hear what alternatives have been properly explored and considered. I know most Evertonians will reject this proposal. It would be disastrous if we move. I don't believe either that the economic and financial arguments stand up. TONY WARDALE OK, let's go for Kirkby. I have supported Everton for 50 years in September and Goodison has been my life. I am as emotion- ally attached to our home as anyone. We have to move on. Whatever criticism we may have of Kenwright, he is a true Blue, and if he has to take this decision, then I for one back him. Vote Kirkby and we can continue the re-building of our great team under the Kenwright/ Moyes/Wyness stewardship. VINCE ION

  8. I did. I watched it earlier.. the guy who asks the questions does it on evertontv aswelll and he annoys me because he always asks leading questions - some even end in "wasn't it" or "isn't it". Obviously he's not going to ask a difficult question because it's for the official site but a straight question wouldn't go a miss now and again. It's a shame that Goodison Park will be sold on to make financial ends meet. I would be absolutely devastated if we go and it becomes a car park for you know who. In my fantasy world we would move to Kirkby Stadium for 5-10years (especially as the stadium will cost £10million) meanwhile Goodison Park is being redeveloped into a world class standard (similar to Croke Park) but it's not going to happen because the club have to sell GP to be able to afford the Kirkby Stadium.
  9. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/07-08/comm...bmissionID=1051 very interesting reading - whether it's authentic or not I do not know.
  10. That's according to former Everton Independent Supporters Association spokesman Ian McDonald. On a post on toffeenet mailing list he said he met David Moyes at the airport and had a conversation that went something along the lines of: IM: You're becoming an Evertonian DM: I am an Evertonian. IM: Well then Dave don't endorse this move to Kirkby for the future of the club and the likes of the kids around you here today. DM: We will have to see both sides of the argument I know bits about the move. IM:Dave you can influence the vote think long and hard about this. DM:Personally I would like to stay at Goodison to be honest.
  11. Seems similar to the guy who was locked in a fridge for a night and he froze to death. The fridge wasnt even switched on and the temperature never dropped below 10 degrees during the time he was in there but he got it into his head that it was cold and at the autopsy the guys organs were like they had been frozen. Power of the mind. I suppose its like thinking your going to throw up, you inevitably do

    Council Tax

Council tax revaluers want to charge us more if we live in a nice area. That ought to mean discounts for those of us who live in rough areas. We have a huge council house in our street. The extended family is run by a grumpy old woman with a pack of fierce dogs. Her car isn't taxed or insured, and doesn't even have a number plate, but the police still do nothing. Her bad tempered old man is famous for upsetting foreigners with racist comments. A shopkeeper blames him for ordering the murder of his son and his son's girlfriend, but nothing has been proved yet. All their kids have broken marriages except the youngest, who everyone thought was gay. Two grandsons are meant to be in the Army but are always seen out in nightclubs. The family's odd antics are always in the papers. They are out of control. .......... Honestly - who'd live near Windsor Castle ?
  13. Never been to talacre beach! I don't think it's right for a rep (or anyone) to mess about with ouija boards. yes it was tom slemen.
  14. I was listening to the radio last night and it was a local author who researchers ghost sightings and paranormal activities. Do you beleive in them and have you ever experienced something a bit eerie? My mum reckons she has seen my cousin being cradled in the air (years ago in Germany)
  15. says the fella with a 'Z' at the end of his name
  16. I've heard that the american Szetela will be joining after the u20 world cup. He was on trial a few years ago, he impressed and now he has a polish passport so is able to sign with no permit problems
  17. Apparently the Philippines are trying to call him up for the SEA Games in December.
  18. That's what the banning of the game does imo. Remember when the original GTA was banned. People bought it out of curiosity and wondered why it had been banned in the first place.
  19. I'm not elibile for that particular company stevo It's a tossup between green flag (£19 after quidco) or tesco/rac (free with clubcard vouchers!)
  20. Not a bad idea.. I'll give them a ring thanks
  21. My 1yr membership with the AA is coming to an end. Does anybody have any recommendations for who I can go with who are good and not a waste of £39
  22. Call me a pessimist but I would rather that they didn't kill off the rumours linking us to big name players (speculate to accumulate etc.). It's a step up from being linked to the likes of David Thompson and Scharner. If the papers keep linking us with big names then eventually people will be seeing us a big club and not the also rans that we appear to be in today's Echo.
  23. Out of interest - what are your reasons for voting in favour of the move ?
