welcome lex.. you are to my knowledge the first suomi on the board
  3. as ever.. it's us, the fans who lose out because we are the mugs who pay large amounts of money on tickets, merchandise and sky tv.
  4. Here is what was told on Friday at the Keioc meeting. Bestway are willing to put more money into the project than Tesco are. They have no shareholders to create profit for and they are more lenient to help build the stadium for PR Reasons (no one had heard of bestway last month despite them being the second biggest cash and carry in the country). They wish to introduce to HOK Sport to the project (The company who developed Emirates) The club can earn more money for naming rights due to increased exposure due to location of the site If the stadium goes ahead in scotland road lib dem will be given a grant for a new train station between Moorfields and Sandhills on the Northern line. (Ideal having two stations at a similar distance from the stadium on different lines to ease congestion).
  5. Lexking - He's a 21 year old local lad who is probably the third best english left back in the country (behind Bridge and Cole). Go to www.youtube.com and type in Leighton baines to see some of the goals he has scored. I'm delighted with his purchase.
  6. Alan Irvine confirmed that a bid was made for Baines (£6million) on Everton TV.
  7. If we build it, they will come. The point of moving stadium is not really that much to do with attendances.. It's to do with increasing revenue and decreasing costs of maintenance. Everton FC are hoping a new stadium will encourage more companies to make use of their corporate facilities which are barely existent in Goodison park. Keith Wyness reckons it will supply up to £10million extra income per year. This is enough to manage our debt repayments and in the future it could be used to pay for transfers. However.. many people including myself beleive that this will increase more so at the Scotland road site.
  8. Apparently coming on trial on monday.. He's a a german goalkeeper who used to be Kahn's understudy at Bayern. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Wessels http://www.express.de/servlet/Satellite?pa...d=1186237270327 google translation of article: CHANGE TO ENGLAND? Eddy around Wessels Cologne - it played a solid preparation, clenched also then the fist in the bag, when coach Christoph Daum (53) extracted the role of the Stammkeepers from it in favor of of new acquisition Faryd Mondragon. Another club was not for Stefan Wessels (28) topic. Up to now. Because: Obviously the FC Everton interest in the FC Schlussmann has. "there is a loose inquiry. But ripe for decision still nothing is ", said Wessels on Saturday, which is to play according to speculations on Monday with the Englishmen. "whether I fly there, did not get straight white I still at all", he. Pushed however after: "however that I would sound myself in the current situation that, am nevertheless legitimately. England league is the best for me in Europe." Problem only: With Everton Tim Howard applies as undisputed. The Ami signed only recently until 2012 with the UEFA Cup participant, completed into the Vorsaison all plays. And would be accordingly difficult to displace...
  9. Noticably Spurs and Newcastle are licensed for this version.
  10. A lot of you know where the tunnel is situated and will have been in the tunnel at one point or other. I have just looked it up and the tunnels to Wirral accomodate an average of 6400 vehicles an hour - that's both Kingsway and Queensway (the article I found was from 2003 so it's probably increased since then). For arguments sake I will say 3000 of these use Wallasey tunnel. That is an average of 26,280,000 vehicles a year using the Wallasey Tunnel. All driving right the way around the stadium - as has been pointed out by October communications.. It is a very exciting prospect for advertisers and brands. This number doesn't include those driving past on Scotland Road. If we move to the trumpet site. We will have one over our lovely neighbours. - we will be in the city centre. Our city centre. They'll be 2miles away out in Stanley Park. We'll be served by Lime Street station (with trains running to the Wirral every four minutes) and direct links with every major city in the country and near the coach station in in Norton Street - oh and it's a 8 minute walk from the site. The stadium will form part of the backdrop for the new look Liverpool skyline and to top it off we will be in Everton!
  11. I think that this could be a good move for the club. Benefits include more income from sponsorships for naming rights. Walking distance from city centre Prominent position on Liverpool waterfront
  12. I can see it as a ploy to keep press coverage on Everton and not the Keioc exhibition.
  13. A member of the bestway PR group said that the club could receive up to double the amount of money for naming rights in the Scotland Road than they would at Kirkby due to Scotland Road's location near the city centre.
  14. Also Pienaar can't play for another fortnight yet as he has ran into Visa problems

  16. I can't beleive the bbc aired it :sick01: It's one for Mac.
  17. No figures were shown.. it was a bit of a disapointment in my opinion.. I was expecting a Q&A session with the people behind it but what happened is they ended up talking to their mates and it was the same people asking about 30 questions. You will be better off reading the pdf file and printing it off. The exhibition was basically the pdf file printed off and stuck on a board.
  18. Personally I think it is all being eaten up by interest from loans and overdrafts. I found this on another forum and it raises an interesting point.
  19. Jackelz that picture is about eight years old, it's from Goodison For Everton Group. The Keioc designs tomorrow will be similar to this: It is basically the same as Valencia's stadium with the focal point being the top balcony. Liam, I will join you in attendance tomorrow unless you're kicked out for being unruly.
  20. Some people are laying the blame at Warren Bradley. Personally.. I couldn't care less about the festival it's usually shite like Lamarr playing anyway - the pubs are always there
