  1. Yakubu's firstname is Benny (Aiyegbeni). Nothing to do with babies.
  2. http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/tm_...-name_page.html I can't help but feel all our eggs are in one basket with Yakubu.. We won't find out if he's eligible to play for us until transfer day leaving Moyes will little time to bring in alternatives if he finds it necessary.
  3. Im torn between this and PES 2008. I have an xbox 360 - I like to have fully licensed game but the fifa style of play/graphics don't appeal to me. Saying that I thought Uefa champions league was an excellent game this year.
  4. What should the club do to celebrate this? http://www.evertonfc.com/history/everton-the-begining.html
  5. A statement from Everton Football Club - August 24, 2007 Everton Football Club acknowledges that a majority of those Evertonians who were eligible to vote in the ballot do support the Club in its desire to relocate to a new home in Kirkby. We are the only major club in Europe to have handed over a decision of such importance and magnitude to its fan-base – something which simply serves to underscore the enormously high regard in which we hold our supporters. We now have a mandate to carry on negotiations with our two project partners – Knowsley Borough Council and Tesco. The Club’s Board of Directors, the management staff and the players would like to thank all those who participated in the ballot. We would also like to thank the Electoral Reform Services who ran the ballot on our behalf in a diligent and wholly professional manner. Whilst we concede that the proposed move has undoubtedly provoked a heated and sustained debate, it is reassuring to know that the majority of Evertonians do support the Club as it pursues its long-held desire to provide a world-class stadium for its world-class support. The result comes at the end of a transparent, democratic process and we believe that now is the time for all supporters of Everton Football Club to set aside any differences of opinion and unite for the common good. The simple truth is, we all want the same thing – a thriving, ambitious and prosperous club away from the field of play and an attractive, competitive team on it. Number of voting packs dispatched 36,662 Number of votes received 25,761 Number of votes found to be invalid 63 Total number of valid votes 25,698 Turnout 70.27% Question Based on the foregoing information, the Board is inclined to pursue the building of a new stadium in Kirkby. The Board promised to ballot Evertonians to ascertain their views on this move. The question is: Are you in favour of relocating Everton Football Club to Kirkby? The Result Yes 15,230 59.27% NO 10,468 40.73%
  6. like mark said.. nsno have reported that its 59% in favour of the move.
  7. I just loaded up the site at 10:40 and it says the results will be unveiled at 10:30.
  8. I reckon he's gone oop Barnsley way to get used the 'English Style' of football and to get some games under his belt.. Coincidentally Moyes brother was Chairman of Barnsleys not long ago.
  9. According to Sky Sports the result is a 'Yes'. It was on about 5minutes ago.
  10. alright guys.. i've known about the problem for a while but i havnt fixed it yet.. when i work out how.. i'll do it
  11. I think the vote will end up being a yes vote anyway despite being in the no camp I found this on another forum with regards to the vote:
  12. I wondered why you serviced his car for free...
  13. There will be one or two in the future
  14. Not so... He has one wrong... after some research.. Neville Southall has 92 caps whilst Gary Speed 'only' has 85 caps.
  15. I know it's months old... but I thought I'd give it a boost to try and get some more opinions.. Pat.. I agree with what you say about waiting but at the same time I think it's too good an opportunity to turn down especially if we end up with three nigerians on our books. Personally I think we could rescue the Julius Berger team (Lagos' premier team at the moment) they've been told they will stop in 2008 but if the EFC brand was attached their would be more interest generated and Nigerian players would be attracted to that club because of the name hoping to impress enough to warrant a move to the English Everton.
  16. Peter Shilton England Neville Southall or Gary Speed for Wales Kenny Dalglish Scotland
  17. I think they'll understand.. I reckon Wessels has been signed because he has European experience.. he's won: DFB Liga-Pokal: 1999, 2000 Bundesliga: 2000, 2001, 2003 DFB Pokal: 2000, 2003 Champions League: 2001 Intercontinental Cup: 2001 2. Bundesliga: 2005 and was runner up in the European Super Cup a few years back.
  18. sports soccer is cheap enough.. dilemna... buy from JJB and help Wigan or buy from sports soccer and help Newcastle.
  19. Arsenal judging by the shirt he wore
  20. Consultants HOK Sport working on behalf on Bestway and in conjunction with Liverpool City Council have come to an initial view that a 55,000 seat stadium could be accommodated on the site. Early "concept proposals" show a development spanning the ramped loop road, which provides for pedestrian circulation to be safely accommodated around the stadium, as well as the necessary emergency access. Some further site investigations are continuing in order to complete a more detailed report into this exciting stadium proposal at the site within the home of Everton. This represents a unique opportunity for the club, the supporters and the City as a whole.
  21. He plays for a team called Ottawa South United which falls under Ontario Soccer Association - the Canadian company we have a deal with so hopefully he is being looked at. I don't think it's anything to do with soccer dreams. http://www.osu.ca
  22. 0IhmJmpWD0E Witha bit of luck Ray Hall will be having a closer look this week as he is flying over to film 'Soccer Dreams'. The kid looks good. I think his name is Elliot Simmons.
