  1. *ahem* If he wants to use the official club badge he needs their permission.. if he happens to stick on a badge that looks just like the official club crest but without the 1878 or 'Everton' text then it is no longer covered by EFC's copyright protection
  2. Apparently he had two disallowed goals aswell as scoring.. Also it seems that the echo are slowly building up a reputation for him... http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0400eve...&gobut.y=14 5 headlines in two weeks
  3. Talksport often say ludicrous things because it insenses people and they feel they have to pay money to talksport via ringing in to tell the presenter just exactly how wrong they are.
  4. I noticed in my local that the seats smell of sweat now... i wish they'd steam clean those things.
  5. An Echo reporter has confirmed we did speak to him but he wanted too much money and was not keen on a move to England anyway. http://gwladtidings.merseyblogs.co.uk/2007/09/maddog.html
  6. Personally I think that Phil Neville had a word with Mclaren about calling up Joleon Let's hope he can get in Baines and Jagielka aswell.
  7. I don't really understand the first line but the second one sums up what I tried to say It's a bit harsh on those people who purchase the 3rd kit to see it used twice if they are lucky.
  8. I know this only a trivial matter but why do the club insist on wearing the blue training shorts with the home shirt when the away team wears white shorts? I know we would have worn out away kit if bolton didnt play in a white shirt but surely we should have worn the third kit yesterday - doesn't it avert the point of having a third kit if we only wear it against Blackburn once a year?
  9. It would have been a draw had it not been for Arteta's old neighbour moving away from the post just before Lescott headed it in. Mikel Alonso moved a metre to the right giving Lescott the whole of the goalkeeper's left hand side to aim for.
  10. Is it worth creating a new post in the match days forum for the upcoming game against the Metallists
  11. I have a bit of a soft spot for Dumbarton from my Football Manager games... first team to win the SPL Sorry.. I'll keep it Everton related.. We signed Graeme Sharp from them
  12. I thought he was Jason Gillespie's double - the one who does book signings etc.?
  13. In that case... yes he did... There was a comment on the radio earlier saying they think it was a case of positive discrimination... Saying if he was white they doubt that he would have won? *opens can of worms*
  14. £128 Sandwich!! I recently purchased a sandwich from boots for £2.99 pushing me over my overdraft limit by £2.49. I received a £25 charge for this. Because it's an internet account I don't receiver letters informing me of bank charges so I did not know about it. I received another £25 charge. and another. I then scraped together £100 to cover the costs of the the bank charges. They were swallowed whole, this took my balance to -£219. On the same day.. I received two lots of charges for both for £25 again taking me over my overdraft limit. Today I paid in £200 after receiving letter yesteday threatening my account with a default. Am I right in thinking I am able to claim these charges back as A+L are not involved in the test case?
  15. As if you don't know who won it... are you trying to play it cool
  16. There were a few who used to write for Speke from the Harbour on here - I think you'll find all WSAG people on everton.rivals.net though.

  20. Anichebe, Yakubu and Yobo have all been called up to the 'Super Eagles' squad for the match against Lesotho. Congratulations to Vic.. I hope he makes his début.
  21. it seems to be a bit of an urban myth this.. he had a fall out of with the international manager a while ago.. but he was sacked or he left. Yakubu has played in all 5 of the latest 5 Nigerian games.
  22. Get out of our thread scouser
  23. Everton today completed the signing of Yakubu for a Club record fee after successfully appealing for a work permit for the Nigerian striker. The 24-year-old centre-forward has penned a five year deal for the Blues a week after Everton agreed an £11.25m deal with Middlesbrough. The completion of the deal was delayed because an initial application for a work permit was rejected as Yakubu has not figured in the required 75 per cent of Nigeria's internationals in the last two years. However, Yakubu was allocated a work permit following an appeal hearing in Sheffield today, with Everton successfully arguing that the player's credentials to ply his trade in the Barclays Premier League have been made clear in the last four years. Having completed his move to Goodison, Yakubu becomes the Club's record-signing, surpassing the £8.6m paid to Crystal Palace for Andrew Johnson last year. Yakubu, Everton's fourth major signing of the summer, is delighted to become an Everton player. He told evertonTV exclusively: "I am happy to be here. It is a great feeling to come over and meet a lot of good players and see the spirit that they have. "I have always said that I want to play for a club that plays in Europe and I think they have the ambition to move forward and they want to finish in the first four and the Champions League and Uefa Cup and for me that is my dream. "I know there is a long way to go and I want to be part of that - to be successful and to have that dream. "I chose to go to Middlesbrough because they were in Europe. At the moment they are not doing it. I think I made the right decision to come to this place. It is a massive club and it is a great feeling. There are great players and you want to play for a big club." Yakubu boasts an impressive goalscoring record, with only Thierry Henry having netted more Premier League goals in the last four years. He began his career in England with Portsmouth in January, 2003. He netted 36 times in 81 Premier League appearances for Pompey before switching to The Riverside in a £7.5m deal in the summer of 2005. He continued his fine scoring record there, grabbing 35 goals in 103 outings for the Teesiders in all competitions. Having completed his transfer to Goodison, Yakubu could make his début for the Blues in Saturday's Premier League fixture with Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium.
