It's funny how the press are commenting on who to play left back against Russia, Neville or Lescott, yet the person who plays left back for us is English and not in the squad.. the mind boggles!

I was watching the Sunday Supplement on sky, one of the journos said the exact same thing saying it's too big a risk playing Lescott at left back because he's too experienced - someone from the Daily Star of all papers put him in his place and said that he plays there often for Everton.

Mikel Arteta's agent insists he is not surprised by reports that Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in the Everton midfielder. Arteta has been in superb form for David Moyes' side this season and the Spanish press are linking him with a return to his homeland as Real coach Bernd Schuster looks to shake up his squad at the Bernabeu. The midfielder's agent Inaki Ibanez told Spanish sports newspaper Marca: "No-one from Real Madrid has come to us. But it is normal that a great club is interested in Arteta because he is doing very well." The 25-year-old has also been linked to Chelsea and Real Zaragoza in recent weeks. Hardly denying anything... it'll be a travesty if he's allowed to leave. Personally I think he should be forced to live in Goodison Road and be shackled to the stadium like a dog so he doesn't wander.

If there is any prospect of Everton Football Club staying within the City? Everton Football Club's position with regard to the suitability of sites within Liverpool that have been proposed by Liverpool City Council? What are Everton Football Club's requirements in terms of land? What assistance Everton Football Club would require from Liverpool City Council to relocate or develop Goodison Park?" Also at this meeting, KEIOC will be making a short presentation to the City Council on the benefits of keeping the club within the city. There was an article in the people last year which said there was a stand-off between Moyes and JPK because JPK refused to cut his hair. Honestly.
