  1. Apparently ourselves, Villa and Chelsea are looking at him. He's a Welsh midfielder who is currently playing for Wales in the victory shield. He's from Crewe and plays for Chester City so our north west presence might swing it for us. This is the only pic I could find. He could be the lanky midfielder we've been looking for. He's tackling England's Ryan Tunnicliffe in the picture. Maybe Geth knows more about him.
  2. I'm managing Dumbarton in the scottish 3rd division.. I'm working my way up to Everton - i dont want to see Moyesy out of a job.
  3. I rented FIFA 08.. didn't like the controls so I didn't bother with it. It looks alright though and the squads a lot better this time round (it has the reserves in and a few academy players!).
  4. I've seen Pan's Labrynth......... it was similar to that David Bowie film.. Labrynth. I liked it - a lot darker than I expcted - never a bad thing. I think if it was in English then people would be raving about it but because it was subtitled a lot of people havn't bothered with it. I wonder why they didn't translate the name properly it should have been Labrynth of the Faun. It was made by the same director as Hellboy. I worked out the LouCypher link Magnolia - best thing about it was the unexpected 'rain' and Tom Cruise chanting - Respect the cock! And tame the twit! Tame it! Also I am wanting to see The High Cost of Low Prices - it's about Asda and Walmart taking over the world and exploiting asian workers.
  5. I googled Louis Cypher and a lot's of lesbian sex came up... Angel Heart seems like my kind of film.. good recommendation Mr Pat. Has anyone seen Requiem for a dream? I watched it the other month and I thought it was fantastic. Sky Sports have stolen the music from the film so the musical score loses some of its edge but it's still excellent.
  6. Own up... who's going to see one tomorrow?
  7. I remember reading a film thread on here a while ago where MikeO recommended magnolia... utter tripe! This week I'd recommend: Shawshank Redemption and Confessions of a dangerous mind. P.S. What's scarface like?
  8. The new stardust film seems a bit too childish for my liking though
  9. there's a patch that fixes that apparently. there is a bug in the game that makes it too easy to win so theyve released a fix for it to stop people complaining.
  10. I've recently watched the deer hunter and raging bull (both de niro classics) and I would recommend them to anyone.
  11. Happy birthday number 2700.
  12. Nurenberg have cancelled the sale of any ticket purchased from their box office via internet or telephone. They are refunding the money for over 2,000 tickets and the reason is because the match is a 'high risk factor'. Very harsh on some of the fans who've purchased tickets and flights already
  13. I recently found that the Setanta Shield has a rule that says that the team line up for the SS cup games must include at least ten players who were named in the squad for their previous league game. My question is - would a similar rule be good to improve the reputation of the Carling Cup? Also is there anyone here besides me who thinks that any professional team in the Irish leagues and SPL should be invited into the tournament?
  14. He was a youth coach but retired because of a hip injury so couldn't get involved as he would like. Scouting seems like a good option though.
  15. Has joined Gary Megson's Bolton as their chief scout. Megson was obviously a fan of CH, he played for us between 1979 and 1981.
  16. In last night's game Eng vs Wales - Everton was well represented, Baxter and Davies for England, McArdle for Wales. We would have had both England and Wales keepers had it not been for Connor Roberts getting injured the other day. Davies looked solid and had good technique Baxter was alright too he won and converted a penalty in the first half, hit the post too. McArdle looked below par last night - he was up against baxter for most of the game. He was at fault for conceeding the penalty, would have conceeded two but the ref didn't see the first incident (again on Baxter).
  17. I have it... http://rapidshare.com/files/67024210/01_Z_Cars.mp3.html

  19. A 28-year-old fan of Arsenal FC of England, Mr. Femi Ajibola, has been stabbed to death by a Liverpool FC supporter. P.M.News learnt today that the incident took place at Afijuomo area of Mile 12, Lagos, after the 1-1 draw between the two teams last Sunday. Sources at the scene of the incident told P.M.News learnt that the suspect, Mr. Wahebi, a fan of Liverpool FC, engaged Mr. Ajibola, an Arsenal fan, in an argument over which club is superior. "The heated argument led to a fight but the intervention of neighbours and other fans, brought the situation under control. Ajibola and Wahebi thus went their separate ways," he said. It was learnt that not satisfied, Wahebi went to his house, picked up a knife and went to Ajibola's house where another fight ensued and Wahebi stabbed Ajibola. Ajibola, P.M.News learnt, was taken to Ikeja General Hospital but he died on the way due to excessive bleeding. It was further gathered that after Wahebi learnt of Ajibola's death, he fled the area along with his entire family. When P.M.News visited Wahebi's house this morning at 20, Afijuomo street, Mile 12, the two storey building where over six families lived before the incident was completely deserted. P.M.News learnt that tenants and Wahebi's family fled for fear of being arrested by policemen from Ketu who are investigating the murder. It was gathered that after the incident, the youths in the area attempted to burn Wahebi's house but were advised by the elders in the area not to take laws in their hands. The atmosphere in the area this morning was still tense days after the incident happened.
  20. Caenarfon isn't exactly known for it's footballing superstars though is it
  21. If you are a resident expert you will notice I know buggar all about cars. In the summer I drove through a flooded road (about 4 inches of water), the day after my rear driver side brake sometimes squeaks (more like squeals - it's very high pitched and embarassing!) at the end of travel - this is mainly when I brake at the bottom of my road, for some reason it rarely happens anywhere else. I've had my mark 5 03 Polo two years now and i've done almost at 30,000 miles so I'm considering having them replaced before my next MOT (you know.. just incase). They do seemingly work well but the squeal is too much for me now. So I think that I may need new brake shoes and a brake drum - everything else works as it should. I'd rather buy my own stuff from highly recommended manufacturers and have a local gargage fit it (too many horror stories about garages using cheap parts that don't do the job aswell as another product could) thus my question is what manufacturers do you recommend?
  22. http://www.thenationonlineng.com/dynamicpage.asp?id=35864 Must be nonsense as have of the article is copied and pasted from wikipedia. The management of Newcastle is ready to splash £8 million (about N2billion) to lure Nigerian international Joseph Yobo away from Everton to join his national team colleague, Obafemi Martins at the Magpies. Sam Allardyce's planned move for the Everton defender followed moves by Arsenal and Real Madrid to battle it out for Newcastle central defender, Steven Taylor in the January transfer window. In fact, Newcastle is earmarking between £6 million to £8 million fee on Yobo.
  23. Im going by nsno news report who say they got it from nurenberg but I don't know how much credability there is to it. A few places are picking up on it though
  24. Just received another email: Again.. don't know how much truth is in it
