  1. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...89520-20290261/ Everton 'bigwig' Sir Philip Green indeed. Has anybody else heard the rumour that he put his name down as guarantor on a club loan a few months back?

    Homerisms

Hellooo? You'll have to speak up I'm wearing a towel.
  3. I didn't like the introduction where the journo suggested that Moyes would leave for Newcastle or Spurs though! Interesting comment on the stadium situation.
  4. It's going to be a request for funds for a full-feasibility study into the city centre site (L3 3JA). http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&...p;z=15&om=0 This seems to go against what Everton put in the planning application, they stated that Liverpool Council told them that the site is not viable!
  5. Also interested to see that Liverpool City Council will meet with North West Development Agency to discuss available grants for a city centre stadium.
  6. No one prepared to comment then? In a nutshell Tesco's regeneration plan is too large for Kirkby to cope with and Development Securities plans is acceptable. Also experts were called in and they say that the loop site will bring in ten times as much revenue as Kirkby could.
  7. http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dgdx5ddf...bcdwp&pli=1 Taken from the Keioc website
  8. Depends what you're trying to hide Mike.. if it's naughty burn the hard drive :thumbsup_still: If you have a real windows disc, format the hard drive and install Windows again.
  9. Northern Rock are based in Newcastle, they are huge - the money they pay to Newcastle is pittance in comparison to what they have available. They sponsor Newcastle Utd because they are a one club city and if every fan opened a Northern Rock account then it pays for itself rather quickly.
  10. In pure monetary terms it is less than Fulham, a third of Tottenhams and less than half of Newcastle's per season.
  11. I'll be genuinely excited if he joins us, I've purposefully avoided this thread until now so that I don't become too upset if he joins on someone else.
  12. Not too impressed by the deal... £2.6million a year for the next three years, up from last year's deal that was £2million per year with addons for European qualification and league placings. You didn't mention that you could get Chang in Oz Pat! The academy in Thailand could be promising.
  13. Do you reckon? Apparently it's going to cost Knowsley residents a few million in taxes to give the green light.
  14. It killed two birds with one stone, allowed Everton to pay less tax and kept Tranmere afloat. TRFC still owe Peter Johnson best part of 5million. His career was ultimately null and void when the club wouldn't play him because it would activate a further payment.
  15. Mike Ashley owns Sports Soccer, Donnay, Dunlop, Blacks, Slazenger. Lonsdale, Karrimor, Kangol and 25% of Matlalan.. In shorted.. minted.
  16. He's gone to Birmingham for 5.5 million 12% has gone to Motherwell apparently.
  17. You've lost out, he has captained Everton and Wales in the past. Proof of Everton captainship - http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn41...24/ai_n14174722 Proof of Wales captainship - http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn41...24/ai_n14284342 I don't think we'll be seeing you post again after this!
  18. No argument from me on that point, it fits in with my point of view that Everton need to stay in the City so I see it as a means to an end. If it is called in, it will be put in under scrutiny and if they should favour of Development Securities' plan (don't want to get into the Politics of it all but I won't be surprised if Kirkby's New Labour government allow stadium to go ahead when you consider new labour supporters/funders include Tesco and Bill Kenwright). Paul - Let's hope so! (As long as it isn't Kirkby!)
  19. I was thinking along the lines of leisure to be honest, public Swimming Pools or an Ice Rink (nearest one is North Wales)..
  20. Don't know, sorry to hear your from Southport though. Two options, get the train to Sandhills and change to either Kirkby and walk or the Ormskirk line and get a bus. On the Ormskirk line you can get off at Aintree and get a bus that the club will put on from the racecourse direct to retail park. Puts it into perspective when those travelling by train had four options (Sandhills/Kirkdale to Kirkby, Sandhills/Kirkdale to Ormskirk, Sandhills to Hunts Cross via city centre for Wirral line and Sandhills to Southport). In the new stadium you'll have the one train to choose from.
  21. It's less than a mile BUT it can only handle 4,000 people at the absolute maximum per hour so it's effectively useless. It's the end station on the Northern line but I expect the odd train will be put on to Wigan.
  22. I wonder if he'll ever play for Sierra Leone
  23. I went to the exhibition at St. Georges Hall. I was a little underwhelmed because I'd seen it all before on their website. Why do you reckon they are wankers ? The stadium is not yet confirmed and the plans may fall apart as today Knowsley extended the planning deadline by 3 weeks to give a rival scheme (the one Kirkby residents want) a fair hearing. If the plans are called in then I can see it go ahead because of Kenwright and Leahy's relationship with the Labour party.
