  1. It is six days after the club said they will be open with the fans.
  2. Everton are changing their Articles of Association after the recent EGM was called because of the Kirkby stadium project. The board (who own 73%) now require 10% of the shareholding to call an EGM instead of the previous 20% shareholders requirement. In basic terms, they've raised the number of shares needed to call an EGM from 250 to 3,650. Former directors Arthur Abercromby and Lord Grantchester own 16% between them which leaves 11% to the minority shareholders rendering them pretty much useless. People's Club indeed, pah!
  3. Depends what you mean by HAD, was he forced by the board? Probably not. Did he want to improve the squad and was told that funds were unlikely? Possibly. Did he NEED to improve the squad? Yes. He took the action that he thought would benefit the club (selling Mcfadden and AJ)
  4. I think its to do with transfer funds, I think if Moyes signs a contract he'll lose leverage to get more funds out of the board.

  6. Bit presumptuous that Jim! http://www.nsno.co.uk/e107_plugins/autogal...Ground-Move.flv
  7. Be fair, he is playing behind the greatest keeper in North America.
  8. The whole thing is tight. I think the presentation on the official site stating that Goodison Park will cost x million has influenced a lot of people (I think those numbers were plucked from thin air)
  9. It obviously depends on their behaviour, if they're going to improve the running of the club and pay off debts.. yes. If they're going overboard and they borrow more and more money and leave after we end up signing Messi for £70m with no way of paying debts then I wouldn't like it.. I couldn't really care less where the chairman of the club comes from as long as he is open with the fans.
  10. I didn't agree with the way he behaved either to be honest. This is an interesting bit: Warren Bradley: First and foremost, I'm not here to make statements. I'm here to ask questions. I missed the presentation unfortunately. I'm here to ask questions about some of the answers I've heard. Can I just say, firstly, LCC objected to destination Kirkby solely on retail on development grounds based around planning policy: national, local and regional planning policy. We believe that there's a contravention in the planning application. On a point before Sir Philip said about Scotland Rd. in 2006, there was some dialogue held with Tescos and Everton Football Club about a site on Scotland Rd. I was leader of the council at that time and have been heavily involved in Project Jennifer, which has been an integral part of the redevelopment of north Liverpool, esp. Scotland Rd. Throughout that, Tescos have been an active partner, up till a couple of weeks ago. Can I ask when did Everton Football Club approach LCC, who are the accountable body? Alternatively, when did Tescos or their agents go to LCC about Everton Football Club looking at a site on Scotland Rd? Because, as leader of this city, I'm not aware of it and I don't believe any of the officers of council are aware of it who've led on the Project Jennifer application and subsequent approval that we are moving on with. Someone on the board: What's the question Warren? <-- Bill Kenwright said that. Warren Bradley: When or who had dialogue over a site in 2006, as Sir Philip mentioned before, about a site on Scotland Rd. The first time Scotland Rd. was mentioned, the Bestway site, was in a meeting that I had with Bestway who were looking to relocate from the tunnel trumpet site for expansion. They were looking at other sites in north Liverpool, around the Vauxhall Rd. area. We seem to now have secured that. It was at that point that the Bestway tunnel trumpet site became an option and some work was done, in feasibility by LCC and Bestway, to see if a football ground could actually be delivered in that location. So when, in 2006, did Tesco approach LCC, or Everton Football Club to LCC about a site on Scotland Rd.? Bill Kenwright: All I can tell you is that the conversations you and I have had about Bestway, which confirm to what you just said. Audience: Then answer the question. Bill Kenwright: I've answered part of the question, I'm asking Philip to answer the 2006 question. Sir Philip Carter: I think, you'll have to go back here Warren, to remember, err, Keith, who was at that stage our Chief Executive....[couldn't answer further] Warren Bradley walks away.
  11. http://www.scribd.com/doc/5586189/Septembe...ons-and-Answers It should give a clearer indication of events.

  14. The Everton data in FM2008 was spot on! It even had Jose Baxter before anyone had heard of him
  15. A few announcements were made this week Two new features stick out for me: new transfer system 3d pitch using virtua soccer engine
  16. Everton Worshipper, I don't think your taking into account that that it's 1,000 people less per hour (that's 20% less) with a stadium capacity 10,000 seats larger which is pushing more people onto buses and park and ride sites which the club are paying for. Chicagoblue, At present there are 744 season ticket holders who are within a 40 minute walking distance from the Kirkby stadium according to the report. (page 166). The report also says 4% of fans walk to Goodison Park (4% of Goodison Park capacity is 1622, 4% of this seasons average home attendance is 1461)
  17. 1993 - Merseytravel did a Stadia Access study 1996 - JMP did one 2007 - evertonfc.com online survey and results were forwarded to Knowsley Council http://www.knowsley.gov.uk/resources/22507..._1TAVolume3.pdf Page 49 Kendall is entitled to his opinion, no disrespect to him but he's not an expert in the relevent fields (architect, civil engineer etc.), I fear he has simply read what was in the Echo and made his judgement on that). As I said with the EGM, someone is typing up minutes so people will be able to read what really happened and in what context.
  18. I'd like to see him in the SPL - it'll improve his international chances in my opinion.
  19. It's 7 miles from Kirkby to Old Hall Street (which is what I would class as the CBD) It's 4 miles from Goodison Park but it's to the outskirts of Merseyside and the site is relatively remote. Access to the site by 50,000 fans is difficult. One example is that the local rail link can only support 3,900 people per hour (that's 6 carriages every 15 minutes) or 7% of fans. Is that you Roger Philips? (local radio DJ said on air that "Kirkby is a dump" It's not a relevance really.. but it would factor in some fans decisions (not mine). If Everton do locate I would prefer them to locate nearer the city centre i.e. the road network hub/public transport hub/near the CBD. I do support a Goodison redevelopment and a groundshare as well. It's going to stay that way too sadly, people have nailed their colours to the masses. I have defected from favouring Kirkby to opposing it until I did some further reading but it's up to people to make their own mind up. No because it was off the agenda, shareholders are calling for non-stadium issues to be discussed at another EGM which is possibly likely to go ahead in October/November.
  20. Everton Worshipper.. didn't see your above post.. I felt it was misleading because it says 97% of shareholders were opposed to the resolution when in fact it was those with 97% of shareholding. It suggests that only 3% of shareholders are against the move. When you consider the board own around 25,000 shares it becomes clear where the votes came from. The club's solicitors refused to reveal the results in terms of individual slips returned. We can only assume because more were in favour of the resolution, had it been the other way around I'm certain, certain that it would have been revealed.
