  2. It'll be taken into account when offering him wages
  3. I like the current one too, I can throw it in the mix too, I'll try and fix it up a bit so it's more clear and less dotty in the near future.
  4. The Politics Show 12 noon 7th December BBC 1 1 hour They look at the impact the stadium move will have on the surrounding areas predominantly Skem. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/poli...how/default.stm It should be on the BBC iPlayer if you miss it.
  5. They're the German Chelsea.. except the sponsor is local to Hoffenheim. When they were in Bundesliga 2, they were signing £11m strikers.
  6. Would Owen's brand name sell shirts anymore?
  7. These are from Barr (the stadium architects).
  8. The Everton part is all done and dusted now really so you won't get any more juicy bits
  9. Elstone was asked whether any member of the board had ever invested a penny into the club, he said they hadn't. Elstone denied that Keith Harris, Seymour Pierce or anyone had been instructed by the club or Mr Kenwright to find a buyer. He was asked by someone representing the combined authorites whether the board had ever considered reducing their ownership to 51% (currently own around 76%) and re-investing the money into stadium redevelopment from the shares into the club (via loan for example), Elstone said they hadn't.
  10. I wasn't attempting to fuel any fire here, simply to show the difference. The diagram isn't my own work but the posts are included on the Bullens Road. Mike - don't know why the goal is there, I think it's just been left in by mistake.
  11. This image is to show the difference between seating conditions at Bullens Road and Kirkby proposals. It's for reference only and I appreciate that any new stadium conforming to the DCMS Green Guide will have larger viewing distances.
  12. No investment into the club at all. I think the stories about Kenwright mortgaging his house etc. may be linked with him making the initial purchase of shares?
  13. I don't know if anyone knew but Elstone was being cross examined yesterday by people opposing the plans. The following was established: Keith Harris has not been requested by either the club or Bill Kenwright to find a buyer for the club or Kenwright's shares. I don't fully understand this as Kenwright has said Harris was "out there, looking" for him and Harris appeared in the Liverpool Echo saying he hadn't found a buyer etc. No current Everton director (combined wealth in excess of £250m) has invested a single penny into the club aside from purchasing shares but are expecting £52m from the state to help them afford a stadium. Everton are looking to obtain the enabling fund from uplift in land value leased from Knowsley Council Everton are confident they can fill a 50,000 stadium capacity because 90,000 different people have bought at least one ticket in the past three seasons. There's more but they are the most salient points.
  14. http://www.knowsley.gov.uk/resources/23650...sign_Review.pdf Pretty damning. They say that 36% of the criteria that they have set for a new development hasn't been met.
  15. 100% international record though!

  17. I don't think your comments on £150m are far of the mark either to be honest. Some fans will feel betrayed that the club originally said they would be effectively free and the price has risen dramatically since then. There are several options available to EFC in my opinion: * Slow incremental Goodison redevelopment as and when it can be afforded. * Ground share with another company (not specifically LFC, it could be an events company like Kings Dock would have been and money brought in from events) * Allow a third party company to build a stadium and lease it back to EFC (Peel Holdings were interested in 2006). If a new owner could be found then it would obviously unlock other possibilities.
  18. Patto, if you were in favour of Kirkby, then please don't have any high hopes for it to go through. The inquiry has gone on for 10 days now and during those days I wouldn't say TEV (Tesco/Everton) have come out on top once. The official site keep on reporting what happens but omit the details where they are cross examined. There are even objectors who say that KMBC leasing what is currently green belt land to Everton for a stadium is not 'best value' and could even be illegal. Kirkby was never the answer anyway and hopefully this will become clear in the near future.
  19. I think the breakdown of those who would support a groundshare is basically those who can see the financial benefits of sharing with another club. There was an article in a magazine not long ago and in it was a red saying he'd hate it because both clubs have history and their own identity and many would refuse. The blue said that many fans who'd grown up with a stadium each would be dead in two generations time and any subsequent generations wouldn't know any other way and would embrace it as the common sense approach. When you see that the city of Liverpool has a population of less than 500,000 (Merseyside 1.5m) and there are two separate similar capacity stadiums lying empty on the days the other is not in use, it begs the question "why"? I'm not convinced Stanley Park is the best site for a shared stadium either (even though I acknowledge it would have a negative effect on some businesses in Walton and Anfield).
  20. Yeah it was, must be nonsense then!
