Harsh... but quite funny at the same time.
  2. In a nutshell, what are the new rules that has seen Button improve so drastically?

  4. Reid has said it's speculation on TalkSport
  5. He's played for Barcelona B and Espanyol too.. it's not like he's only ever played for Swansea.
  6. I don't think there's anything in it.. The journalist has been been on the Sunday Supplement for 2hrs and did not mention it yet he talked about Sunderland being took over by a Texan.
  7. I'm also under the impression that the club are running on empty and borrow against the tv money a year in advance. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008/oct/1...lubs-bank-debts http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/oc...anchesterunited We already have a faceless shareholder in BCR Sports who are registered in BVI (one of the people behind it is apparently Robert Earl).
  8. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/3226...-Kenwright.html http://www.londonnominees.com/ln/index.asp It's registered to British Virgin Islands...same place as BCR Sports (Robert Earl's holding company), I suppose they could be related.
  9. A bid was made for Puyol which was rejected. http://www.4-4-2.com/displaynews/date/2009...uyol-holen.html Surreal.

  12. Espanyol's Gomez has been linked with Everton.. He has been on loan to Swansea this season and won player of the year. http://www.planetswans.co.uk/article.aspx?ArticleID=9493
  13. I didn't get the bell on the diving board until I googled it! The two musical instruments were pretty good though
  14. I've done it now.. What's the one you're having problems with?
  15. I do.. I think that foreign fans may buy more EFC products because it's something different to buying Liverpool store..
  16. Ah... but Northern Ireland are below them on the ELO Rankings http://www.eloratings.net/
  17. I heard a titbit... Grosvenor were not impressed by the 'Everton Two' name and felt it would incite vandalism.. Peter Jones, a planner at Liverpool City Council twisted their arm and they relented. Do you reckon it's a good or bad idea that Everton are next door but one to the Liverpool store?
  18. I'd agree that there are people are against it simply because it's not within the city boundary. Personally.. I'm not too bothered about that, but the backlash would have been more severe had Tesco and Everton chose Birkenhead as a suitable area despite being a similar distance away. Whether it's a flimsy excuse or not is debatable, the club's local authority has differing importance from person to person. Knowsley Council have said they want to brand Everton as the football club of Knowsley, some will see that as wanting to remove the Liverpool element of the club or bastardising the brand. Knowsley Council see it as an opportunity to promote the Knowsley brand because people from other parts of the country don't know it exists. I think Elstone is being mischievous with the "few hundred metres" quote, the distance from the stadium site to the council border is not the problem, it's the distance from the city centre. I've seen people bring up Old Trafford as an example of a team being located in a neighbouring authority but it's only 2 miles from Manchester city centre, Kirkby is around 3 times further away. I know people who are equally opposed to sites in Speke and Croxteth for logistical reasons.
  19. We go around in circles discussing it - people have differing opinions.. Without going into the nitty gritty, the retail park car park is considered out of bounds for football fans and there is a no parking zone around the stadium for around 1 mile. There is 1,000 spaces for corporate fans. Knowsley Council have said schools can't be used for parking. The club expect more cars at Kirkby than at Goodison. On top of that 160+ buses are needed and Trains services to Kirkby will be at full capacity.
  20. Needless to say, I don't agree with him The biggest obstacle to me personally is Kirkby's transport problems.
  21. We've been discussing the future of Talking Toffee in the staff room recently Jim. We'll let you know what decisions we come to !
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_and_rad...ort/8058346.stm Didn't know Moyes was half Irish - explains the hair!
