I saw that on the tv a while ago, I think it was the One Show. I went on one similar years ago, looking back I'm not sure why I did. It was a T- shaped piece of equipment on the rope and you were told to hang on, no safety harness or anything.

Hardly a surprise, they've been screwed for years.

I had a Spot the Dog toy that went missing when I was on holiday, apparently it was taken by thieves. I was inconsolable. After we returned home, there was a knock on the door - it was Spot the Dog with sunglasses on and a suitcase. I was young enough to have him and old enough to know he couldn't have got there on his own so I ran to the window to see who had delivered him. It was my step-dad. Other happy memories was getting a NES for my 5th birthday, I had no idea what a NES was and hadn't asked for it but I'm glad I got it. It had a lightgun too and you could shoot ducks by pressing the gun up against the old CRT tvs to make it easier. That one gift has shaped my interests today.

An automatic one year extension for making his 15th league appearance ? That seems so odd.

I saw it in 3D but forgot that I had 'til I saw your post. I remember being impressed. It wasn't 3D with objects coming out of the screen, it was for depth so that you could tell how far the distance between floating objects. This picture doesn't do it justice: The best 3D effect that I've seen was on a tour of Granada studios years ago, it was a different type of 3D that made images come out of the screen. It made a candle come out of the screen and float within touching distance of your face. The Jessica Jones trailer was released today. It looks a lot darker than I was expecting. David Tennent's Purple Man has police aiming guns at themselves and each other as well several people hanging themselves in front of the lead character.

It wasn't the films that hooked me, it was the video games (Jedi Knight and Knights of the Old Republic series.). I'm probably in a minority.

I saw The Martian today, I haven't read the book but I found it a bit predictable.

I saw a trailer for the The Last Kingdom on BBC2 yesterday. It's apparently based on Bernard Cromwell's Saxon Stories. It's intriguing. I've never read the books.

I don't see the point personally. If people in Liverpool wanted non-league football, more would go and see Bootle or Marine.

I had an email from John. He's having problems getting on the site. I thought it might just be a DNS issue so sent him instructions on how to do 'flush' them so his ISP can find the site again.
