  1. I thought he may have made the u-20 world cup.. sadly not.
  2. He says "My involvement with Everton is to support" "It's an endorsement of Bill Kenwright, an endorsement of David Moyes - it is not a takeover. The more financial stability we can give the club, the better. If there is to be a new stadium, and if that stadium merits having great restaurants and a casino, let's go for it. But I will not be making those decisions. It will be up to the chairman how much he uses me." and "I would like to think on the marketing side that I probably have a lot to offer. My involvement is to help strengthen the club, give them more money, give them more opportunities. "I'm 55 and remember Everton's heyday. I'm old enough to understand that David Moyes has got the team well on the way to glory and so this is the right time for me to get involved. I see myself as pretty knowledgeable on the merchandising side." That's the only time he's spoke about what he brings to the club afaik.
  3. The board is Bill Kenwright, Jon Woods, Robert Earl and Sir Philip Carter
  4. Elstone's figures could include the academy signings and Jo's loan fee.
  5. Rumours circulating that Arteta has injured his knee again and will be out longer than expected.
  6. I never had a dream cast or Snes, after the mega cd.. I gave up on consoles until the xbox came out.
  7. It was a technology 'global brand' apparently.. could it be the long-awaited return of NEC? Robert Elstone was asked whether Everton would continue discussions with them if the stadium was approved, he said they could do (the way he said it sounded like it would be a waste of time to me). Japanese company Ricoh sponsor Coventry, Kyocera sponsor Reading, JVC sponsored Arsenal (and are currently sponsored by Sony but not prominently)
  8. Around the 36th minute mark a few blonde ladies walk past topless...
  9. The crabs with no eyes were pretty spooky. I've never heard of the land of the jaguar. Is it any good?
  10. Video available now - http://bambuser.com/...roadcast/261007 http://bambuser.com/v/261007 Does the above work for anyone? Second attempt..
  11. Prof Tom Cannon was completely discredited on Toffeeweb. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/08-09/comment/fan/article.asp?submissionID=8524 - Same date as the article above funnily enough. This is a response from Greg Murphy:
  12. Live now if anyone is interested http://www.coveritlive.com/index2.php/option=com_altcaster/task=viewaltcast/altcast_code=eb8423c7c7
  13. Did anyone see this on BBC1 at 9pm? I thought it was fantastic: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00mq3p1/Lost_Land_of_the_Volcano_Episode_1/

  16. The article above jumped the gun. The real terms are: £600,000 transfer fee £150,000 after 5 first team appearances £150,000 after 10 first team appearances £150,000 after 20 first team appearances £150,000 after 30 first team appearances £150,000 after 40 first team appearances £200,000 on England appearance Leeds receive 20% of profit on future transfer fee Not quite as good a deal, future fee percentage is very high!
  17. £1million seems fair considering he is being touted as a future England international.. Gareth Barry cost Villa £500k rising to £3m when he moved from Brighton when 16. Hardly daylight robbery.. perhaps the tribunals are upping the ante as there seems to be a clampdown on purchasing young players at the moment.
  18. Ah well... £1million could turn out to be a bargain anyway.
