    Benfica (Home)

I can see another loss but not quite as much as 5-0. 1-2 maybe.
  2. There are some excellent videos on the British Pathe website. Here's just one: http://www.britishpa...rd.php?id=18910 There are many more at http://www.britishpa...?search=everton
  3. Linked with Man Utd again... http://www.dailymail...-Moyes-boy.html
  4. Nice first post... a bit young for me at 19 though! I saw the goalkeeper Rachel Brown in Speke not so long ago... she's tiny but in photos she looks huge.
  5. I'm having problems even getting the disc. I thought I had paid for it, entering my details and such.. now the company has emailed me again asking me for my order no and email address and card details :|
  6. I havn't seen this reported anywhere else but it seems Everton have taken on another mortgage.. this time from Investec and organised by Teacher Stern (who incidentally represent Louis Saha). The wording on the Companies House form is very vague.
  7. I don't know about that; Turner has been in the full Scotland squad a few times and he's barely played for the first team
  8. I've ordered it but it hasn't arrived yet.. Ridiculous... £13 for an upgrade disc on the laptop and £29 for the disc on the PC.
  9. Finnish u21 keeper linked with a move, currently on trial at the club. http://svenska.yle.fi/nyheter/artikel.php?id=170663
  10. I don't know who he is.. but I found this website and thought it was rather good. http://www.petecarr.net
  11. In short... Knowsley admit that the land sale isn't ideal but believe that the GVA (gross value added), introduction of new retail jobs and increase in revenue outweigh the defecit of losing open land.

    Miyagi

    Q. What does Mr Miyagi do in his spare time? A. He wax off.
  14. Knowsley have come to the conclusion that they were right to sell the land to Tesco. All here if anyone's interested. http://councillors.knowsley.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=138&MId=4819&Ver=4&StyleType=standard&StyleSize=none&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

  16. The Docklands Stadium is the reason that the Melbourne Docklands became a success, it was the catalyst for the area. This is why Peel and Mersey Docks and Harbour Company before them both looked seriously into having a stadium on the site. They want as many people as possible in the area to make use of their facilities. Stadiums draw in tourists, especially in prominent locations and are some of the most viewed buildings in the world. A high profile building on Liverpool Waters would raise the reputation of the area. Talks are still ongoing between interested parties. The SPD for the area has just been released, this actually makes it easier to get a stadium on the site because Peel can make an outline application for the whole area. Please have a look at this: http://www.b-e-x.com...Aymeric%20Magne,%20Stadia%20Consulting.pdf
  17. ESPN bought exclusive rights to the Europa League away games... because they want to sell subscriptions.
  18. I've never met him Bill. I've read his posts on another forum and he's not involved with KEIOC, he's a fan who beleives that Walton Hall Park is a better site for a stadium than most (if not all) alternatives (and it coincides with 'outer loop' railway idea) and doesn't want to see a Everton stadium built near the riverside because he wants it to be maritime themed. It's fair enough but I don't agree with him. There's a few crossed wires, he seems to think that miles of rail track should be laid between Kirkdale and Hunts Cross instead of 'merely' opening a new station near the old Walton and Anfield station site which is more cost effective. If he's saying that the track should be laid to make the 'outer loop' which would help people get around the city, then fine, fair enough. If he's saying it should be built to suit a stadium on Walton Hall Park then it's a pipe dream because the cost is prohibitively expensive. WHP is a decent site but it's not likely, LCC have ruled it out "two wrongs don't make a right".
  19. Because surveys have already been carried out and Walton Lane/County Road were identified as possible sites. County Road was seen as more favourable but if EFC stay at Goodison Walton Lane may be opened on the back of LFC plans. Have you calculated a possible throughput for the station at Cherry Lane? From a transport perspective, somewhere between Moorefields and Sandhills is ideal because of the number of trains going through the area. I'll try and keep that to the other thread though!
  20. I am not confused... you raised the issue of Liverpool's stadium needing a new station on that line and I pointed out a station on Walton Lane could benefit Everton at Goodison or at the very least offer a nod to Goodison should we move on.
