  1. It looks like Chester fans want to start their own "supporter's direct" supported club. Cheshire West and Chester have said they can use Deva Stadium, unknown if the club are going for the Welsh leagues or English ones just yet.
  2. I can't find anything to say he couldn't play for another nation. Although I did laugh when I saw this: http://en.wikipedia....ritish_Cypriots (the image on the right)
  3. or perhaps it's because he's the greatest Belgian export since Tintin.
  4. The mods aren't as good as they are on here, are they milky?
  5. It looks like they've been told they can go then.
  6. He can't play for England. Similar thing in Scotland where Ranger's Nacho Novo wanted to play for Scotland (he has British passport) but was told he can't.
  7. It was based on who can bring in the most money through sponsorship and available facilities. Liverpool ladies train at Melwood so that was a positive for them despite having been relegated to a lower division.
  8. They have been accepted as one of eight teams to play in the 2011 FA Women's Super League. The other seven are: Arsenal LFC Birmingham City LFC Bristol Academy WFC Chelsea LFC Doncaster Rovers Belles LFC Lincoln LFC Liverpool LFC I think it's to be a professional league now and there are rules that force three players per club to earn over £20k a year. It's been moved to the summer to attract more attention and requires sponsors to go ahead. I'm not sure if it will ever go ahead personally.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm4GiyyVKQQ BBC is worth the money in my opinion, however at the moment due to the rising costs the competitors are struggling and blaming the BBC for being too popular and want to see it downsized.
  10. Brilliant. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qbq57
  11. Signs a deal to join in the summer.. 19 year old portuguese striker. http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/noticia.html?id=1148926&div_id=1442&psec_id=46 http://www.portugoal.net/index.php/more-everton-news/8745-aves-striker-silva-linked-with-everton
  12. Chicagoblue - I love your avatar!
  13. The seven game home winning streak will be a new Premier League record for EFC.
  14. It's closer to 12,600, but I'd imagine if it's to be done, they'd enlarge the smaller stands first to get more money in first. There are some people who have looked at it in detail and come to the conclusion that in some cases a new stand can be built behind the existing stand to reduce the time that the existing stand is out of use and closed to fans.
  15. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sporteditors/2006/04/about_carl_doran.html The editor of Sports Relief programme... turns out is an Evertonian.
  16. It probably would cost more overall but my understanding is it could be done in 'bite-size' chunks i.e. when it could be afforded. The Council's leader has said they'd be closing a school in the coming years and if Everton wanted the land, it'd make the decision on which one to close easier.
  17. The club have hired an architect to re-assess Goodison.
  18. I love this guy... http://www.skysports...4429971,00.html He was at PSG and released.. now he has a blog where he writes about trials he's had and tells people about the games he played in. On his website he just replaces another black player with his own name. Now he's telling people he's on loan at Cardiff (from Man City who he had a 1 week trial with), I think he's confused himself with Kelvin Etuhu! http://lestitisdupsg...435!12736.entry - pictures of Some of the stuff he's been getting away with is great.. http://www.sportvox....d_article=27050 - linked with Man Utd and Arsenal http://soccer.sport2...e-cardiff-city/ - Cardiff City http://www.dailymail...fer-target.html Portsmouth http://www.tribalfoo...portsmouth-move Portsmouth He's a legit footballer who really was with PSG but since then he's just had a lot of fun linking himself to other clubs and the media picking it up!
  19. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1884/north-america/2010/03/17/1837726/landon-donovan-in-england-i-would-only-want-to-play-for
  20. Le Bateau is more for teenagers in my opinion. Jacaranda, Krazyhouse and Zanzibar all seem up your street - all pretty close to each other too. It might be worth seeing if anything is on at the 02 Academy.
  21. Everton bid for the Azerbaijan international today! http://www.news.az/articles/11597
  22. I don't think there's a decent service at Runcorn from LSP. He'd have to go to Warrington and change twice, easier and cheaper to stay on Merseyrail. Had a look at the trainline website and it's only 1hr15mins on train - so maybe an hour and a half and not 2 hours.
