  1. When the days go by... I don't think we will go down. In my opinion one of the problems has been that any money that could have been used to invest in new players has been used to secure existing players on larger contracts.
  2. In fairness most of them were answering questions from a local media or OS journalist
  3. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2010/11/23/pat-launches-book This might be of interest to someone.
  4. Hannover 96's ex-chief scout Tor-Kristian Karlsen says Everton are watching this guy. http://en.wikipedia....s_Gonz%C3%A1lez
  5. Is anybody expecting it to be any good? Andrew Jennings is expected to be the journalist for this one. He has written books about corruption in FIFA and the IOC in the past. Jack Warner, FIFA's vice-president thinks it's a personal vendetta against him. Warner, whose vote is crucial to England's hopes and who has been targeted by Panorama in the past, said in an email: 'I am sure it's a personal vendetta. But it is sooooooooooo stupid... for it can have no effect on me personally or anyone else in Fifa for that matter. In my personal opinion it is deliberately designed to negatively impact. It is just a rehash of the same old b******* so I continue to sleep very soundly at nights.' Somehow the BBC have spun it as Warner saying that the BBC are hoping to negatively impact the 2018 World Cup bid. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00wfl8t
  6. Washing machines last longer with Callejon. http://www.fansfc.com/story/27012.html
  7. Clubs are compensated for the World Cup but not the regional competitions.
  8. There's not much in Liverpool for a stag do really is there ? Just bars but you get them anywhere...
  9. I can't agree with that to be honest. For example you can't expect The Congo's FA to pay Christopher Samba's wages if they made it to the Africa Cup of Nations, likewise with Kenya's FA and McDonald Mariga. They'd be bankrupt within a month and that's just one player. Ghana and Ivory Coast would struggle to cover their squad's wages. Any money would have to come from FIFA but FIFA struggle to pay their association members £1million per year. A world-wide FIFA clause may need to be introduced that means clubs do not have to play players whilst clubs are on international 'duty' for a FIFA recognised competition. It comes down to this though.. players are paid far too much
  10. All-year round even the off-season.
  11. Moyes suggests that clubs (or FIFA?) should have clauses that prevent payment when players are away with international tournaments. When speaking about losing Cahill for the upcoming Asia Cup he said: "I just feel in this world where the money is so tight for clubs, someone might say if you want to play in that tournament then there will be no wages in that month. We can't stop you playing for your country, but maybe there are no wages." Source: Liverpool Echo
  12. Worth a listen... http://www.nsno.co.u...r-david-france/ Podcast version
  13. "I still believe that a wealthy benefactor wishing to invest in a football club and take it further should still happen". It could be one of the reasons he 's not a fan of the German football set up. They ensure that 51% of the club is owned by fans and it deters wealthy individuals from doing a 'Roman'. The exception is the Hoffenheim owner who's local to the club and wanted to see them in the 1. Bundesliga.
  14. You can get a Genio Touch or a Tocco Lite for under £60.. they're pretty good for the money. http://direct.tesco....R.207-6378.aspx Also if you're quick you could get a 16gb micro sd card for £16 from play.com In essence the phone would become a 16gb MP3 player for under £80.

I'll have to think about this one, not sure how it could be done to be honest. It is probably better done through Betfair or somewhere.<br><br>I'd be inclined to agree with Bill.. I can't see Everton qualifying for Europe. It's a slippery slope from now on.. I'm not soft enough to gamble on it though! <br>
