  1. Sadly, it looks like most of the bids are fake: http://offer.ebay.co...em=270691237419 Five bids have been retracted at time of posting, including one for $850,000
  2. Chelsea have bid £3million apparently - http://www.thesun.co...en-Pienaar.html I wouldn't begrudge him a move to Chelsea to be honest. At £3m we'd even make a profit.
  3. http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2011/01/10/2298716/exclusive-edinson-cavani-eager-to-stay-with-napoli-club/
  4. You're not missing anything. Money is really tight at the club. Yak leaving on loan is to get him off the payroll, same reason as Yobo. 1 goal in 15 games isn't it?
  5. Bill Kenwright did re-mortgage his home in London but it was for a film he made in 1999 called Don't Go Breaking My Heart. I read a quote where he says he forgot to get financing for the project so re-mortgaged his home in the short-term (i.e. until he could get it finances). I'll see if I can find it. This interview article says he re-mortgage his home for a down payment on Everton shares. The players you mention were bought using club credit, not Bill Kenwright's personal wealth.

  7. Sorry I was talking about Arteta but typed Pienaar by mistake.
  8. When Pienaar contract was offered he was playing out of his skin, he's not reached those heights again this season.
  9. It's about the money. Everton are pretty much broke and have to get people off the wage bill to bring in others.
  10. Andy Hunter (possibly the most reliable when it comes to Everton) seems to think Moyes is still chasing him: Tottenham agree terms with Steven Pienaar but may wait until the summer | Football | The Guardian
  11. Favouritism was used in 1966 but it's often overlooked, Sir Stanley Rous (English) had the England semi-final switched to Wembley from Goodison Park.
  12. Leicester are paying £1million to take him on loan according to this article: Tottenham agree terms with Steven Pienaar but may wait until the summer | Football | The Guardian Actually, the £1m fee may be Leicester paying his wages for the duration.
  13. No, only Football Association (Cardiff and Swansea are under Wales FA) and contract length are taken into account irrespective of league standing. It's worth pointing out that Everton will only receive 75% of transfer fee as 5% goes to the Premier League 20% goes to the tax-man (Value Added Tax) so Everton would only receive £1.5m if he was sold for £2m.
  14. Here's an interesting thought: In plain English Donovan would personally receive 10% of any fee Everton paid for him from the MLS. No wonder he's so keen ! $1million+ just for signing alone. Unless he has his own agreement with the MLS of course
  15. It looks like it could be making a return: http://news.bbc.co.u...all/9355809.stm

  19. Replicated here: http://7msport.com/n...109/52523.shtml Original article author on twitter: http://twitter.com/DWhiteFootball This is what he has to say: @blueboy68 I hope he stays but the constraints are getting tighter. There needs to be investment or waste the good foundations DM has built. about 2 hours ago via web in reply to blueboy68 @phil_riley No worries, it's an emotional thing football. I know how important DM is to Everton. about 2 hours ago via web in reply to phil_riley @mvflusk sorry no quotes but source sensitive. DM v frustrated at continued lack of funds. Hope he gets support and stays. about 2 hours ago via web in reply to mvflusk @MichaellBrew Hi Michael - not ready to walk out but seriously thinking about his future. Not asking much, just to get a loan player in. about 2 hours ago via web in reply to MichaellBrew @phil_riley Hope he stays too, doing a fantastic job. He's not asking the earth, just a bit of room to bring a player in, even on loan. about 2 hours ago via web in reply to phil_riley @phil_riley Hi Phil. Source is as good as it can get. He's v frustrated that he can't even get one player in. about 2 hours ago via web in reply to phil_riley
  20. Someone's got Emerald green glasses on. (kidding)
  21. Thinman.. to get priority on tickets you'll need to join Evertonia. http://www.evertonfc.com/evertonia/
  22. No different to Anderson da Silva. He didn't have a work permit and he signed. Funny how the Azerbaijani press say he has signed and will spend the rest of the season on loan at his current club, the player himself has said he has signed but Everton are back-tracking because he hasn't had a work permit granted (and likely won't imo - doesn't meet the criteria as he has not played enough international games).
  23. Touch me, touch me. I want to feel your body.
