  4. Another post from Hafnia iPhones bathroom inc. ?
  5. There has to be some sort of irony when your username pays homage to a player who came from the same league.
  6. Coleman signed a 4 year deal 8 months ago: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/e/everton/8692668.stm Strange one, unless he was offered pittance.
  7. Everton have supposedly had a bid rejected for Javi Márquez. http://www.skysports...6672102,00.html I think he also says Alvaro Vazquez was bid for? Am I reading that correctly?

  9. An Irish registered company called Quality Football Ireland Limited signed an agreement with Sporting Lisbon which apparently states that they will receive 50% of all sales on 18-26 year olds in an exchange for an upfront fee due to SL's ongoing financial problems. Their fans are furious and the President resigned at the weekend. Perhaps this is why Lisbon are less 'reluctant' to sell because it's in their interest financially as the player is not 18 yet?
  10. There were two Kyles we were looking at Sheffield United (Walker and Naughton). Spurs got both.
  11. Hi, You can register for e-ticketing to buy the ticket before you leave your home. This can be done at https://eticketing.e...gistration.aspx The website says this: Home Match Ticket – your ticket(s) will be posted to the address you have given if purchased 72 hours prior to the game day. For purchases after this time you should collect your tickets from the Bullens Road Ticket Office AT LEAST 2 HOURS PRIOR TO KICK OFF. You should bring the payment card used to purchase this order, and a printed copy of this email as proof of purchase. So you need to order within 2 days of leaving for Liverpool otherwise the club will post it to Spain. I think you can order earlier and send an email to boxoffice@evertonfc.com requesting that they keep the ticket at the box office so you can collect it at Goodison Park. 12. Years ago we he had the England U16, 19 and U21 captains at the club at the same time. None made the cut (Scot Brown, Steven Schumacher and Peter Clarke). The Everton academy have their own transfer budget to get the best players in. Unfortunately it's less than David Moyes has to deal with.
  13. Rarely the correspondents anyway. Not "columnists". There is a distinction between the two. For example when the Kirkby stadium was still going on, from memory, the articles were the stadium was written about in a positive light were written by the club correspondent (Dominic King). The articles written about concerns were written about came from the business (Bill Gleeson) and political columnists (David Bartlett) and others but notably never the correspondent. The major exception I can think of is Simon Bird of the Mirror when Newcastle's Joe Kinnear called him a cunt after writing this article about Michael Owen
  14. A nasty journalist who needs access to the press box to do his job which he is paid to do ? I'm just putting it out there...not saying that is the reason.
  15. Perhaps, Mike. He is the Daily Mirror's Everton correspondent. I've been cautious of him after writing three columns in quick succession praising Bill Kenwright (and acknowledging but avoiding any alternative comments made, despite the latter two pieces being written to counter them) and appearing in a video outlining his support for the move to Kirkby (he's a Liverpool fan). http://www.mirrorfoo...icle217665.html http://www.mirrorfoo...icle224147.html http://www.mirrorfoo...icle231125.html
  16. I may be a prude but at least I'm not a sycophant: Why Everton's achievements under David Moyes and Bill Kenwright are far more impressive than anything Manchester City have done with all their billions - David Maddock column - David Maddock - MirrorFootball.co.uk
  17. It was the word "fucking" in all capitals if anything
  18. There were a few agreements as I recall, not just one exclusivity agreement. None were ever made public so it's not possible to say. One of the documents submitted as part of the Kirkby stadium bid said: "the willingness or abilities of the Club's Directors to sell all or some of their interests to attract an investor who or which might have the ability in financial terms to fund a new stadium in its entirety or at the very least the shortfall. This is not an option, as the current Directors have no intention of selling any of their interests in the Club". http://inquiry.knowsley.gov.uk/Core%20Documents/CD%201.1.3%20PlanningStatementRevised.pdf Page 36, Para 6.1.0
  19. I'm concerned about your sanity at the best of times. Re: Olympic Stadium It's too close to call. Spurs/AEG will pay more money for the stadium and fund a Olympic stadium in Crystal Palace (Crystal Palace FC have now said they want the stadium in Crystal Palace). Better value for money for Government but Olympics suffer. West Ham want stadium with a running track. Better deal for Olympics but Government loses out on more money. It's hard to see why a future tenant wasn't selected prior to construction.
  20. I was in two minds whether to delete Tricky Trev's post above. I've let it go but please tone it down in future. Having said that, you may hit the roof if you believe that this poster on another forum is telling the truth: At the time Everton were under a "Period of Exclusivity" so it's plausible but could be nonsense.
  21. Holtby has already made his debut for Germany. He played against Sweden in November.
  22. There's an article on the excellent Les Rosbifs site about Dier: http://lesrosbifs.ne...and-adam-smith/
