  1. Player wages, repaying debt, loan arrangement fees to delay repayment etc. Here's an article on the 2010/11 season tv income. http://www.sportingi...2010-11-240503/
  2. I forgot about them, you've made me think I've made a mistake somewhere (but I can't see where). I think it could be because the new tv deal comes into force boosting income. Catering is worth around £1m Gate receipts were £19m last year, £20m the year before EDIT - I don't think I've made a mistake, the new tv deal more than doubled from £625m to £1.4bn. What I have calculated is next season's deal with 2010/11's final finish and merit funds. We're rich
  3. There is money for simply being in the Premier league (Basic Award fund/Title Sponsorship Money) which sees the money split into 35 equal parts, each relegated club is given 1 part, the rest are given 2. There is Commercial Contract Money and Radio Contract Money too. There is money for being on TV (Facilities Fee fund), money from foreign tv rights (Overseas Broadcasting Money) There is £800k per place (Prize Money fund) Manchester United finished 1st say they get 20x 800k West Ham finished 20th so they get 1x £800k Plus Parachute payments which means that even if the club is relegated, they'd still receive £48million spread over four years (up from £16m spread over 2 years). Everton are given money every year, we come to expect it now, that's why it's not mentioned If we came dead last we'd have £37million from being in the Premier League and £48million in parachute payments. This is my guess for this season just gone (2010/11): UK Broadcasting Money £38m Merit Payment Fund - £10m Basic Award £17m Overseas Broadcasting Money £15m Title Sponsorship Money £1m Commercial Contract Money £1m Radio Contract Money £1m Total: £84million So.. expect some record turnover news articles in April.
  4. No Scottish international is worth £4m!
  5. His nickname is apparently "Hopeless"
  6. Allowing their contracts to expire...
  7. I don't think I've ever seen such a division in opinion of a player. Man City fans and Newcastle fans both like him and he was at their clubs when the incidents took place. If he did sign, I can see a lot of people changing their mind about him.
  8. The Gold Cup is hardly obscure The next one is 2015 (Beckford not in 2011 squad) now so it won't be a problem. It'll only be World Cup qualifiers and the World Cup, plus a few friendlies here and there as the Caribbean Championship is not on FIFA calendar.
  9. Former Jamaican international Ronel Wallen has said that Beckford is close to representing Jamaica. http://jamaica-star.com/thestar/20110520/sports/sports1.html Shame, he left it so late in his career. He could have been in the Gold Cup.
  10. He was named in UEFA's team of the U17 tournament
  11. He was in Liverpool's centre of excellence apparently. Shouldn't make a difference, look at Hibbert, Osman, Baines and Baxter, all were (or are) reds.
  12. He broke into Everton team at 16.. breaking the Premier League scoring record for youngest scorer. Six years later he has played 4 games for England U21 and not scored. He hasn't developed as much as he or we would have liked. I wish him all the best, but it's the right option for Everton and Vaughan.
  13. Oh, that's too bad Mike. If I find a "covers of songs from the 60s" playlist I'll let you know.
  14. I've just came across this from Liverpool City Council: http://councillors.l...x?ID=10728&T=11 Question - will the Council re-open stations on the freight rail line near Goodison Park? The response is "we'd like to but there's no money".
  15. http://news.malaysia...umentid=4875635 This is the link on BBC:http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b011pwms
  16. I found this brilliant playlist: Originals that are less Famous than the Cover Versions
  17. The police are brutal:
  18. Keep your eyes peeled on the upcoming U21 tournament, I suspect we'll be taking a closer look at some participating players.
  19. http://www.givemefoo...a-transfer-list Keiran Agard Hope Akpan Gerard Kinsella Iain Turner Scholars: Daniel Murphy Luke Dobie is listed too, but he's off to Boro
  20. Hah. worst I've seen is when he sleeps inside the camel, similar to Empire strikes back
  21. ..and presumably someone we have never heard of?
  22. Chuck Blazer has reported Jack Warner for corruption.. an investigation is now pending.
