It'll probably strengthen the larger club's academies, but will it be to the detriment of other clubs in the country? I'm interested to see what people think.

It won't be Liverpool. I can guarantee that, the club are given a form to fill at the beginning of each season where they write down who they wish to avoid. Liverpool is always a sell out so the club will want to avoid having it first game (first games are also usually a sell out).
