  1. Prospect? Dunne, Jeffers and McCann are all I can think of.. no one under Moyes aside from Rooney. There's a world of a difference between linking and selling
  2. I half expected Warner to take the fall. Sep Blatter had no use for him any more after announcing that the recent FIFA Presidential election would be his last.
  3. Will he suffer from Andy Murray syndrome? When he win's he is British but when he loses he becomes Northern Irish.
  4. They beat Guadeloupe 1-0 in group stage to qualify for the Quarter Finals. They beat Jamaica 2-0 tonight to reach semi-finals where they will meet Honduras. The game takes place on 22nd June. Three clean sheets out of four games so far which isn't bad.. Highlights of Jamaica game: http://www.concacaftv.premiumtv.co.uk/page/CatchUpVideo/0,,12907~1776195,00.html
  5. Republic of Ireland aren't able to. They have their own Olympic Committee: http://www.olympicsport.ie They would have played in Olympics if the ROI U21 team had qualified through the European U21 Championship, unfortunately they didn't. It would have been nice to see Duffy / Coleman in the Olympics. Having said that, I think Northern Ireland players can play for Ireland because of the Good Friday agreement.
  6. Northern Irish can though.. MikeO, I think the over-age players need to be in central positions Terry - influential player for young players and can organise defense. Lampard - keep London press happy/keeps Adidas-sponsored Steven Gerrard out (PR campaign posters would drive me over the edge!) Bent - possibly the best English goalscorer. Rooney is also a possibility
  7. Bale and Ramsey would be in if Wales were ok with it, I guess. Over-age players would be Terry, Lampard and Bent.
  8. I'd take Nugent, better than nothing.
  9. David Haye and Vladmmir Klitshcko
  10. MPs are probably Manchester Utd fans. They are the only two who signed it: http://www.parliament.uk/edm/2010-11/1926 Saying that I'd be tempted to email some Evertonian MPs to push for an honour for Howard Kendall. Joe Benton, Andy Burnham, Albert Owen expect an email
  11. I'd prefer Rodallega to the Zog to be honest.
  12. I'm killing this one.. seems pointless!
  13. Norwegian press also comment on it: http://www.tv2.no/sp...er-3520279.html New moniker for Goodison? Takashi's castle.
  14. He started his career with Everton, he was in our academy but was released as a youngster.
  15. Possibly a bad example Matt, he was a Liverpool fan. Ian C made an interesting point earlier... fans are irked when players 'show ambition' whilst criticising the board members for not showing any. I don't think it's the case that Heitinga and Fellaini are criticising the club, it's that only small samples of what they say are translated and made into sensationalist news articles. You could ask any player in the squad if they want to win trophies and play in the Champions League, and I'd wager the answer would be "yes" to both.
  16. Can he make the McAlaney position his own? A one year deal doesn't sound like the club are confident about him though. In contrast.. Barkley was offered a three year (two and a half year) contract, the maximum allowed for the age group.
  17. Fellaini also said: "It's not the right time [to think about tranferring]" but it wasn't included in the Echo's translation.
  18. Original article: http://www.7sur7.be/7s7/fr/1509/Football-Belge/article/detail/1278912/2011/06/15/Fellaini-Hazard-Je-defendrai-pour-lui-s-il-le-faut.dhtml It includes two sentences omitted in the ESPN story. Newspaper: "For the moment, Fellaini is focusing on Everton and he's not thinking about a transfer." Fellaini: "It's not the right time [to think about moving]"
  19. That's brilliant and tickets are free! ooo arrr! The Wurzels – A Load More Bullocks
  20. Use this link to add them to Google Calendar: http://scou.se/~H03 It should then be accessible on the Android phone (if you have one).
  21. Do you not get Skippy the bush kangaroo in Belgium? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCHY6n907OE
  22. On a similar note, they're making a film about Jay DeMerit http://www.jaydemeritstory.com/
  23. I'm not too sure about that to be honest.
  24. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/06/16/everton-fc-bid-to-open-free-school-92534-28888117/2/ Ian Ross, Everton’s director of communications and trustee of Everton in the Community, said: “I think the school initiative is something which probably underlines the belief of the club and the charity – that it's more than a club. The initiative goes hand in hand with the idea that the club is locally driven and employs local people and we are very proud of being a local club. The school will provide something invaluable for people who perhaps might miss out on.” Asked if the school would only allow Evertonians to enter, Mr Ross added: “It would not be that exclusive. Allegiance to a football club would not be involved. The school would be under the banner Everton FC, but it would be a school for all. It will benefit thousands of people in the community for generations to come.” Dr Denise Barrett-Baxendale, chief executive of Everton in the Community, added: “We wish to engage students with a new innovative approach to educational provision backed by the brand and values of Everton FC, which are already firmly embedded within our community scheme.”
