Old article but interesting..
GETHIN JONES (midfielder, now at Everton)
The current Wales schoolboy captain, 15-year-old midfielder Jones, from Porthmadog, skippered his country in their Victory Shield win over England back in October.
Davies says: "We managed to get him first but Everton were very interested and he was with us for just over a year before he joined them. He's got a big future in the game – he's a dominant midfielder, a good size and he'll be one Everton think a lot of."
RYAN HARRINGTON (centre-half, Everton)
Still an U12, a number of clubs were interested in Harrington, who is from Wrexham and was discovered playing in the local leagues, before Everton snapped him up.
Davies says: "He's developed quite a lot in the last 12 months and I know a lot of clubs were looking at him. Ryan is a boy we thought a lot of – he's a whole-hearted player and in training he was always among the first to arrive and the last to leave."
NATHAN BROADHEAD (midfielder/winger, Everton)
From Bangor, Broadhead is the same age as Harrington and is a quick, skilful winger who Davies says the Dragons will be keeping tabs on for the future after he joined Everton.
Davies says: "Nathan's a quick player with excellent balance. He likes to take players on, he's two-footed and lots of clubs were looking at him. I'm sure he'll be one we'll keep an eye on to see how he progresses."
