  3. Guardian's fiver on Anichebe: Everton manager David Moyes is backing perma-knacked striker Victor Anichebe, 23, to be a threat next season. "Victor has great potential," he hooted, before pointing out a crocked clock has the "potential" to be right twice a day.

  9. I think it's partly because of the UEFA rules which say that players must be developed in the same country as the club.
  10. On a tangent, did you see that Mike Ashley gave each employee who has worked for him over 2 years £40k worth of shares each in Sports Direct?

  15. Vice City was the best of the lot, three times better than San Andreas.
  16. If that was the case, they'd just confirm the squad numbers earlier, wouldn't they? At least that's what I'd do..
  17. As a player is that frustrating or is that not really something you pay attention to? It's something we definitely pay attention to. Of course it's frustrating. I think people at Everton are trying to do the right things -- we all are. Unfortunately, it's not always as easy as that and I know they're trying their best to bring players in and for us as players our job is to keep our head down and try to win games. You know, we don't really have any say over those types of transactions. That's going to be what the manager does and the chairman does. It's always nice to see a fresh face come in and boost the morale of the club. It makes you feel like you're going in the right direction. And I have no doubts that we'll bring a few players in this summer. Our manager's proven in the past that he's shrewd in the transfer market and can work with a small budget. So, again, we're not overly concerned. I understand from a fan's perspective they have that counting clock, but we just have to kind of get on with it and hopefully we've shown that even teams spending £100 million more than us we've shown that we can push them aside and win games. http://sports.yahoo....?urn=sow-wp3559

  22. The club don't call themselves The People's Club any more.. I don't know all the details but a city centre street trader registered "The People's Club" and from what I understand, there was no threat from the trader towards the club about using the term, the club simply chose not to continue using it. The club re-branded and started using "Nil Satis Nisi Optimum" as a tagline. Apparently, the club had some merchandise with "Nil Satis" which was pulled when it was pointed out that it meant "No satisfaction".
