I'm actually pretty excited about this signing, although I fear it may become a similar situation to Fernandes where the player uses the loan as a window and leaves for another club after the loan expires despite Everton interest.

Paid £10million for an asset that would have cost £15m to maintain over 4 years ? It reads like a good deal to me. It's not the deal, it's the timing and the not knowing whether Moyes has the funds to re-invest come January that causes unease.
