  1. Are you going to pre-order ?
  2. What do you think football could learn from refereeing in rugby and video replays etc.?
  3. People often overlook that he helped make Toy Story. Better than iProduct.
  4. I guess you're right. Kia Joorabchian's comments are in this article: http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/c3edb9f2-ef75-11e0-941e-00144feab49a.html#axzz1ZwVtK4ms Presumably, he's the guy who underwrote the most recent mortgage. There's no other reason to mention Everton, is there?
  5. Liverpool Echo reported it and have seemingly ignoring Kirkby was on the table at the time. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/tm_headline=bill-kenwright-believes-man-city-s-abu-dhabi-group-could-have-bought-everton-fc-if-stadium-plans-were-in-place&method=full&objectid=29545880&siteid=100252-name_page.html#sitelife-commentsWidget-bottom
  6. Here's what Greg O'Keeffe (Liverpool Echo) had to say on twitter: "Stories that Spurs are trying to hijack Everton's move for George Green are nonsense. He signed yesterday DESPITE Spurs offering double our fee, in excess of £600,000 and better personal terms. The kid and Bradford were more impressed with #EFC - so he signed."
  7. Apparently Kia Joorabchian has said he'd be willing to lend Everton money when the banks won't. He's a guest speaker at the Leaders of Football expo..
  8. I'm not saying anything other than providing dates of events ! It just seems that there's always something that doesn't add up in these interviews. Maybe there were was some truth in the investors wanting Kirkby to go ahead... (I'm still relieved it didn't) Perhaps they were interested but pulled out shortly after the plan was called in.
  9. One thing that stuck out like a sore thumb to me, was that it was suggested if Everton had a plan for a stadium, then Abu Dhabi would have looked closer at Everton. Kirkby plan was announced in 2007 Kirkby was 'called in' in August 2008 Man City was took over in September 2008 Kirkby move collapsed in November 2009 Essentially, what I'm saying is there was a plan in place for a stadium at the time.
  10. Matt, that IS the five live interview. It'll be on after 7 until 10:30. BBC - BBC Radio 5 live Programmes - 5 live Sport, Leaders in Football
  11. what a knob surely? He didn't delete his yfrog account.
  12. Jose Baxter posted a pic of a knob on his yfrog account.. When he was told it was in the public domain, he deleted his twitter account
  13. Green hasn't played for England at any level as far as I know. There was another George Green who played for England in the 1920s though. I don't think it's that much to to spend if the player fulfills some of his potential. Jermaine Pennant signed for Arsenal for £2m from Notts County and he's probably been worth more than that during his career. Liverpool signed a 15 year old Jamaican guy from QPR for £600k last year, he now plays for England U17 due to his new citizenship and residence in England.
  14. Have a read of this: http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/news/the-neverending-nightmare-of-amanda-knox-20110627
  15. No, they're different. A sling box would allow me to watch what's on my tv from another location by streaming the picture on the internet which can be picked up by another box, laptop or phone etc. A foregin satellite decoder translates a signal that we wouldn't normally be able to view in your country/boundary so that it can be viewed. In theory, you could have someone with a sling box transmit you a signal from a satelite decoder so that you could watch something 'protected' by national borders.
  16. Could be lazy journalism, it was announced on official site he'd signed.. http://www.bradfordc...2471560,00.html Bradford say he's joining Everton's academy next season.
  17. Interesting blog: http://www.headoflegal.com/2011/10/04/eu-law-2-fa-premier-league-0/ http://www.headoflegal.com/2011/10/04/eu-law-v-fa-premier-league-a-further-thought/ http://www.headofleg...-to-do-with-it/

  19. It's meant to be excellent, I've only played the first one. Mike - have a look at http://www.humblebundle.com You can get 7 games in total for less than £4,all for steam
  20. Apparently The Times have had their access to players cut off for this story: From what I can make out, the Times allowed someone from the Blue Union to write an article and publish it in their paper.
  21. In 2009/10 the gate receipts + programme sales + catering income / total home attendances was less than £23. 47k is 11k than the £36k figure, you've added another 47k to the 36k making the home attendance levels 83k £23 * 11000 = 253000 per game * 20 = £5.06m more per year
  22. I think that has a near myth-status now to be honest. I don't think there's much the club could do to increase revenue other than commercial aspects. Look at the Kirkby predictions, average of £47k attendance expected and it was expected to bring in £6million more than Goodison a year.
