  1. As some of you will know, I make no money from operating ToffeeTalk, it's a labour of love for me and hopefully for the rest of you who contribute toward the running of the site. The cost of hosting for the site from 7 November 2011 to 6 November 2012 will be £120. Last year we received sponsorship from sports retailers Kitbag but I've been unable to negotiate a renewal.. So...if you feel able to contribute toward the costs it'd be greatly appreciated. I can accept paypal payments made to admin@toffeetalk.com Many thanks. Louis
  2. It looks like you'll be driving a few extra miles to pay for them!
  3. Not really dangerous though, are we?
  4. I may opt to see TinTin in the cinema, did you see it in 3d ten? I've just watched a documentary on BBC about TinTin, made me want to see it I used to love the cartoons. In the winter months, my grandad would make me some stew, I'd watch TinTin, Mario and Sonic on Channel 4. Those were the days. Louis Theroux is back on now BBC 2 - America's most dangerous pets.
  5. Pretty good article here: http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2011/10/30/revealed-official-english-football-wage-figures-for-the-past-25-years-301002/ Prof. John Beech gave his thoughts here: Wages and the distortion of the pyramid « Football Management

  9. I'll get it for Xbox, it's £4.
  10. We have a pretty good reputation amongst Swedes, I think it is the Linderoth, Alexandersson and Limpar factor.
  11. I don't think I'll bother with it. I've heard rumours that people are having their accounts hacked and hackers are spending their ms points on FIFA gold packs (which can be sold on ebay for profit).

  13. Here's the thing... my desktop pc died. I use a laptop and it's now powerful enough for the games. Im sticking to xbox for games (with the exception of Football Manager) It was BioShock 1 and 2 I was interested in but I'll give it a miss.
  14. Tried to watch it on Saturday and I just couldn't, i turned it on during someone butchering a Primal Scream song. How you can manage to mess up a song sung by Bobby Gillespie, I don't know.
  15. Steam, piss off(!) with your bargains: http://store.steampowered.com/sale/scary_sale_2011
  16. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/tony-hibbert-true-blue-2376783.html I think the journalist Simon Hart is an Evertonian too.
  17. Why is it we compete as separate nations in the Commonwealth but are unified in the Olympics?
  18. These rumours seem to have started because someone posted that Land Rover (Speke) is near Finch Farm (Halewood) on GOT.
  19. The trailer was misleading because there was never a rooftop battle with Tyger Guards, similar to the one in Dark Knight One of the most frustrating aspects of the game is that you can't kick people off buildings because Batman doesn't kill. Also, just found this.. 12 months of Empire magazine plus Assasins Creed revelations for £40: https://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/film-and-tv/empire-magazine.html
  20. I was disappointed that this wasn't part of it:
  21. The guy who wrote V for Vendetta has wrote a few other good stories too. Watchmen League of Extraordinary Gentlemen He hates the films though (can't blame him for disliking LoEG) and refuses to watch them Steve, try the comic first
