  1. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/11-12/comment/mailbag/20621.html Guy from the ADI Group seems to confirm that Everton will be wearing Nike next season.
  2. I had a song in my head earlier.. popped the lyrics into google to find out who it was, it was Shaggy with "Why you treat me so bad? Then I remembered an old song, I like by the Luniz called five on it.. I then wondered what the original beat was in the background, after searching on whosampled.com, I found the answer.. it was from a song called "Why you treat me so bad?" by Club Nouveau, a song I'd never heard of. I'm slightly creeped out by the chances of that happening.
  3. You should be okay for getting one but you won't be able to order one until they become available for 'general sale' (i.e. open to the public). You'll need to register here to be able to buy one: http://eticketing.Everton.../Home/home.aspx However, there is a way to get them before they go on general sale and that is by buying an 'Evertonia' membership. This allows you to buy the tickets three days before they go on public release. They cost £19.99 but come with a £5 off voucher for the game. Although, before paying USD$50 for the chance to buy tickets. It may be worth emailing corporatesales@evertonfc.com and explaining that you're coming over from US and that you're interested in buying two tickets for the Newcastle game. With corporate sales, you get a drink and a meal (that's if your making it an 'occasion'). If you want a 'normal' ticket, email boxoffice@evertonfc.com and explain the same thing. They may be able to help you out, from what I've heard the club are usually very supportive of international fans. The end of season awards take place on May 10th, depending upon your budget, it may be worth looking into getting tickets for that, he'll meet the players and drink champagne.
  4. He was introduced to Liverpool's New England Sports Venture by Inner Circle Sports. Inner Circle Sports have recently decided to try and find a bidder for Everton, off their own back.
  5. I can't find this seasons prices to compare :\ Under £100 for a child's season ticket is good value
  6. Generic are 'ok', genuine are usually better
  7. It probably improved on the basis that Haiti received anything at all I presume.
  8. I think it was a competition where fans voted for the name. edit - Half right: http://www.safc.com/page/BlackCatsNickname
  9. Journalist's response: http://wired868.com/868/index.php/volley/item/104-warners-questionable-lawsuit Sticking to his guns.
  10. Last week, the Sunday Times and Daily Mailreported that FIFA had put a block on Jack Warner's FIFA pension worth £30k a year until it was discovered what had happened to aid money that was given to Warner to pass on to the Haitian FA. Haitian football officials have said that they received $60k (US dollars) although FIFA and Korean Football Association had given $250k and $500k respectively. Jack Warner says it's a conspiracy against him. Earlier this week, he threatened to sue twitter and anyone who tweeted about the story. Now Warner has threatened to sue the Trinidad Express newspaper. http://latino.foxnew...trinidad-paper/
  11. Darron Gibson was given an award by the FAI (Football Association of Ireland) for his goal against Wales in the Carling Nations Cup. http://www.fai.ie/in...-announced.html Coleman missed out on the Young player of the year award to Darren O'Dea after being nominated.
  12. There's been a few, Mickey Thomas and Duncan Ferguson spring to mind. Jimmy Gauld in '64 for match-fixing. There's another one who murdered his wife but I've forgotten his name (this was in the 19th century).
  13. Speaking of Sunderland, spare a thought for these poor sods from Haiti. http://www.digicelfootball.com/en/clinics/news/2-digicel-customers-win-a-trip-for-2-to-sunderland
  14. http://www.decoubertin.co.uk/home/2012/2/24/southall-signs-up-to-lead-autumn-list.html Apparently they're going to run a competition so that people choose a title for it. "Lifting the lid" was suggested on ToffeeWeb and I think that's a great title.
  15. As heartless as it sounds, there needs to be a cull. Personally, I think the requirement for players to be professional should be removed from Leagues below the Championship. Currently in League One and Two the requirement is mandatory which in my opinion leads to problems.
  16. As long as you not wanting to play any graphics-intense games it should be fine. Integrated graphics cards are built into in the laptop motherboard. Some laptops have them separate. Separate ones can usually cope with more strain. From your point of viewing of buying, it means that if there's a problem with the graphics, the motherboard will need to be replaced/repaired. If it wasn't integrated, in theory you could replace just the graphics card. USB 3 is faster, it's not really popular at the moment but will be in the next few years. The John Lewis' guarantee is a deal-maker, think of it as renting a laptop for £15 per month for 2 years - as it's under guarantee for 2 years, and at the end of it you keep the laptop
  17. http://www.johnlewis...18/Product.aspx Downfall - It has integrated graphics card, no Blu-ray nor USB 3.0 (you didn't ask for that though and integrated cards will run FM2012) Meets your requirements though. Meets MikeO's too. Two year guarantee with John Lewis.
  18. I think Stubbs is now the translator, no one understands a word that Weir says!
  19. http://blog.umbro.com/post/england-2012-inspired-by-st-george-tailored-by-umbro/ Not a fan at all.. How could they drop the blue? It was the best bit.
  20. http://www.channel4....-horror-in-homs Extended report on Channel 4
  21. You see I'm not that big fan of Paul Bettany, I've seen The da Vinci Code and he was okay in that, (Legion was crap! Not seen Priest, Knights Tale is very underrated) but know of him really as the voice of Jarvis in Iron Man. He hasn't been part of a film that I've thought to myself I'd like to watch it again. I live in West Kirby
  22. There's a film crew in my home town at the moment filming a film called "Blood". Actors include Stephen Graham, Mark Strong and Paul Bettany. Just letting you know. The films not out 'til 2013. It's a remake of a BBC series called "Conviction" which I've never seen. http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/paul_bettany_brian_cox_stephen_graham_attached_to_british_thriller_blood
