  1. I'd choose the So you wanna be a boxer from Bugsy Malone
  2. Some people are upset that the price isn't being subsidised by the new tv deal.
  3. If Moyes went today and a replacement was needed immediately, I would choose Bernd Schuster.
  4. I found this interesting: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/britains-colonial-shame-slaveowners-given-huge-payouts-after-abolition-8508358.html Billions paid by the UK Government in compensation to slave owners for their loss of "property".
  5. Since the move collapsed he has played in the following games for Twente: 23-02-2013 Heerenveen 2 - 1 Twente 90 16-02-2013 Twente 1 - 1 Willem II 90 10-02-2013 PEC Zwolle 1 - 1 Twente 90 03-02-2013 Twente 2 - 4 Utrecht 90 Four games where he has played 90 minutes.
  6. Willis knows it's shit. He's refused to do interviews for the movie with Mayo and Kermode, and Empire. It's been rated as 16% on Rotten Tomatoes. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/a_good_day_to_die_hard/
  7. Some opinions from Doncaster fans on Twitter:
  8. I just a look at the last time Moyes' contract was turning into a saga. It was the beginning of 2008/2009. Here are the results until he signed: http://www.evertonresults.com/200809.htm He signed on October 13. Up until that point the record was 5 losses, 2 wins and 3 draws. After he signed, we went the rest of the year losing a further six times. My point is, I think the contract dragging on has a negative effect.
  9. He's been named in Doncaster's squad for the game against Yeovil and has been given the number 12.
  10. Iron Man 3 will have Ben Kindsley as Mandarin.
  11. The Durango (new Xbox) will supposedly have a Blu-ray player too
  12. The PS4 was announced last night.. the controllers are £45! Personally, I don't think there's any need for a new console just yet. I haven't reached the point where I think that the current generation's graphics are bad. I played through Sleeping Dogs in the week, I quite enjoyed that. Aliens Colonial Marines has caused some controversy as the graphics in the demo were better than those in the final game. I do like the films so I may try it out in the future.
  13. I find his situation odd, he's been praised in UEFA's and FIFA's technical reports, played in three major competitions (UEFA U17, U19 and FIFA U17) and has never had a sniff of the first team. He's one of three players who've never had any first team experience from the UEFA U19 comp (one of the others is Hallam Hope).
  14. He's just joined Doncaster Rovers on loan for a month.
  15. That was such a strange signing, loaning a player to help develop him for another club and never even intending to play him is near unheard of.
  16. He's took a leave of absence from MLS http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/02/17/galaxy-announce-donovan-will-rejoin-club-late-march
  17. I can't blame him for not signing an extension. He's been here a long time ago and has hinted several times that he'd like to try his luck abroad.
  18. It's not strictly true either because they've had Arab players in the past. Oscar Pistorius story is a shock..
  19. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-02-13/carney-tells-canada-lawmakers-everton-s-his-football-club.html
  20. BBC's Oluwashina says Everton are linked with a move for him. Sky saying the same: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11671/8495518/
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21374699 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2261817/Arsenal-Manchester-United-financial-fair-play-plot-ruin-Premier-League--Martin-Samuel.html As has been pointed out elsewhere, if Chelsea do not increase their wage bill, it will take Everton 34 years of incremental increases before they can reach the same wage bill. It's all a bit odd.
