  1. I love this. http://gizmodo.com/5991515/this-ghostbusters-fanatic-built-a-perfect-replica-of-their-hq?utm_campaign=socialflow_gizmodo_twitter&utm_source=gizmodo_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
  2. He's retiring at the end of the season anyway, just wait it out rather than leave him stranded in Israel.
  3. http://www.thefa.com/England/mens-under-21s/News/2013/phil-neville-under-21s-israel He's been appointed to the Under 21s for the Euro U21 competition.
  4. Owen's just announced his decision to retire from playing at the end of the season.
  5. I have a few old books (including Dixie Dean from 70s) and a large poster of him (A1 in size) framed. I have a book celebrating the centenary of the Football League and Philip Carter was the chairman at the time. I had an 1995 FA Cup shirt signed by Dave Watson, now it's just a shirt after it was washed. I also have a decision notice on the Kirkby stadium failure, it's a few hundred pages (300+), there are not many of those going around, I'd guess at less than 50.

    Man City (H)

Apparently the guy who plays BBC3's "Lee Nelson" was arrested earlier, he tried to sneak on the pitch in a Man City kit to promote his new show.
  8. Quarter-final vs AFC Liverpool is to take place on 25 March in Valerie Park. So why don't you come on over to Valerie? (do, dododo) http://www.afcliverpool.tv/2013/03/15/everton-tie-date-confirmed/

  12. The Echo have seemingly been receiving abuse from people about it. They've published this today: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/columnists/2013/03/15/david-prentice-vile-online-abuse-is-helping-no-one-100252-32992533/#sitelife-commentsWidget-bottom
  13. Droba instigated a ceasefire in a civil war. Socrates introduced democracy into Brazilian football, Pasic united several ethnicities at a time when they were at war in Sarajevo. Mekhloufi pulled out of the France squad to lead the non-FIFA affiliated Algerian national team on a world tour at a time when Algeria was ruled by France and he faced a prison sentence if caught. I don't think Vinny Jones and Paul Gascoigne are quite there yet.
  14. Al Jazeera are now showing the Football Rebels tv series. The episode about Didier Drogba and his role in the Ivorian civil war is now available online to watch and will be on tv during the week each day. http://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/footballrebels/2013/03/201336105035488821.html I'm looking forward to the episode about Rachid Mekhloufi.
  15. It doesn't seem right that hit girl is a bit older now, that's what made the original seem oh so wrong. Nic Cage was amazing in the first one. Christian Bale was outstanding in Empire of the Sun and he was only about 10 at the time. I've not really seen much of Wahlberg's career to be honest, only the Departed, Four Brothers and The Lovely Bones.
  16. There seems to have been a bit of fallout about this show. The Echo published a response where they say nothing is new, we've heard it before and didn't name the radio host or station. Some people have took issue with this and suggested it's bitterness from the Echo because he was able to have questions answered. He tweeted the following: Then, Richard Buxton (a local journalist) tweeted at Stan Collymore that the club have denied there is a 'ballpark figure'.
  17. Tunisian forward of Lekhwiya SC (Qatar) is being monitored. His father is quoted as saying the player should be concentrating on his current team. http://www.gnet.tn/revue-de-sport/quatre-clubs-anglais-sur-les-traces-de-youssef-msakni/id-menu-323.html
  18. The journalist who wrote it believes it's true, he says more details will be made public next month.
  19. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/9926412/Qatars-plans-for-Dream-Football-League-could-see-English-clubs-offered-175m-to-coampete.html Clubs could be paid £175m to take part.. I've just found it's a hoax from a French satirical website and The Times have run it as a proper story and it's been copied by other papers.
  20. Peter Taylor has been appointed U20 head coach for the U20 World Cup. http://www.thefa.com/England/mens-u20s/News/2013/peter-taylor-world-cup-appointment.aspx
