  1. It's people's reactions on twitter. Hardly newsworthy :\
  2. Talksport said Phil Neville was offered the job two days ago, I wouldn't pay any attention. If I was in Mackay's situation, I'd rather be in the Premier League with the team I brought up to be honest. Benitez won't be welcome by a lot of fans, I can't see it.
  3. 24th July vs. Ajax Cape Town That leaves three days minimum to go to USA, it's possible I guess. Though It probably depends on who offers the club the most money. Also, look at the html source of the official website. The keywords for the site are: A.C. Milan, Chelsea, Galaxy, Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid, Benfica, Everton Looks to be a good pre-season! http://i.imgur.com/OAxX4Yd.png
  4. Although it's just a rumour at this stage, their website published that Everton are playing Juventus in San Francisco this July, but the post has since been removed. http://megustaelfutbol.tumblr.com/post/50020565290/from-the-international-champions-cup-facebook-page Facebook posters are saying that Everton were there: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Guinness-International-Champions-Cup/613585068668658 The official website: http://www.internationalchampionscup.com
  5. This is the same Alan Stubbs who says he doesn't read and prefers colouring books.
  6. From journalist James Corbett: https://twitter.com/james_corbett/status/332431165472505856
  7. Laudrup is ruled out: http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/Swansea-City-confident-Michael-Laudrup-turn/story-18937555-detail/story.html#axzz2Sp0kgYWC
  8. Bill Kenwright did another interview with Sky Sports news.. https://soundcloud.com/toffeetalk/bill-kenwright-interview-ssn He says he doesn't have someone in mind and he has names in mind, in the same interview.
  9. I've had to warn Mirallas about talking Redknapp when there's an Everton vanacy. This behaviour will not be tolerated! I think the announcement that Ferguson is retiring came at an odd time, it really wouldn't have hurt if it was kept quiet for 2 weeks. I think Man Utd only released a statement because one of the national papers were publishing the story. It's put us in an uncomfortable place, having to wait for our prospective managers' seasons to end before we can make a move as a.) we still have a manager b.) Pereira is in a title chase, Martinez is in a relegation scrap and FA Cup final.
  10. BT Sport are offering three sports channel subscription for free to BT Broadband customers, otherwise it's £15 per month. http://www.btlife.bt.com/entertainment/bt-sport-to-be-free-with-bt-broadband/ I don't think many people will switch/pay £15 per month, it seems like BT may have shot themselves in the foot.

  12. Wigan Chairman Dave Whelan doesn't think Everton are an attractive proposition to him: http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1440322?&cc=5739 Good.
  13. Kenwright interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0QrknxaeXM Now on Sky Sports website with better sound: http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/8700126/moyes-will-manage-our-next-game-kenwright
  14. I know nothing about Pereira, other than what I have googled. It turns out that he's represented by Fellaini and Mirallas' agent Christophe Henrotay.
  15. The Guardian (presumably Andy Hunter) are reporting that Bill Kenwright had no idea about this until 2pm today. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/08/david-moyes-manchester-united-alex-ferguson
  16. http://metro.co.uk/2013/05/08/everton-line-up-portos-vitor-pereira-with-david-moyes-move-to-manchester-united-growing-ever-closer-3733826/ This is from a Portugese source published in April(!) citing goal.com http://www.record.xl.pt/Futebol/Nacional/1a_liga/Porto/interior.aspx?content_id=814930 http://www.maisfcporto.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1468:everton-quer-contratar-vitor-pereira&catid=43&Itemid=531 - This site (MaisFCPorto.com) says that Pereira was invited to Goodison Park during the season.
  17. Vitor Periera In April, Francisco Junior told Portuguese media that Vitor Pereira would be a good choice for Everton. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=394496 Also in April, Pereira commented on moving to Everton: Translated: "I'm currently a proud FC Porto manager. We will assess the defined objectives at the end of the season. The club and I will decide accordingly." http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=394888 Today, the Daily Mail are linking him. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2320960/Everton-line-Porto-boss-Vitor-Pereira-contender-replace-David-Moyes.html
  18. I've seen it suggested elsewhere that Zdnek Zeman and Vítor Pereira are available - they'd both be free. I imagine that Kenwright would appoint a manager from within England though.

  21. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/clubs/manchesterunited/article3759033.ece He also left Finch Farm with his brother Kenny (his agent) three and a half hours earlier than he usually leaves.
  22. Now that Ferguson has announced his retirement, it is is a new concept. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/man-utd/next-permanent-manager Moyes is favourite to replace him at all of the bookmakers. When I looked, every single box was blue meaning that the odds are shortening. It doesn't mean anything though, Howard Webb is 1000/1!
