  1. It's that time again, I've just renewed the GP domains (the free email service) and the server cost is high this month due to the number of hits because of Moyes leaving. If anybody would like to make a donation to cover costs, then please send a payment via paypal to admin@toffeetalk.com or use the 'donate' button at the bottom of this page. Instead of the 'normal' £20, the price for this month is at the moment a minimum of £46.
  2. The pre-contract was in quotes though, maybe it's lost in translation but it could be just a gentlemen's agreement.
  3. It's been two weeks now and we're no closer to getting a new manager in, the turnaround last time was three days. Despite not having a manager, there are reports that Osman has agreed a two year extension. Meanwhile David Moyes was working with Ed Woodward at Man Utd on Monday to discuss extending Rio Ferdinand's contract. I think Everton are slow to react, I also think it comes down to not wanting to pay two managers at once. If the club can put off signing players until late in the window to save on wages I suspect it'll be the same for a manager?
  4. I think that was mistranslation, the original article said he was coming to the end of a a two year contract from Porto. When Moyes started, he was given a four year contract.
  5. "I've seen a lot shit in my time but that has to rank somewhere in the top 3. "
  6. Emerson Thome (known as Paradao in Portugal) has backed Perreira, Thome is currently a scout for Everton. http://rr.sapo.pt/bolabranca_detalhe.aspx?fid=46&did=107615 If Sky are to be believed, that is the final short list. Of everyone available and interested in that position from across the World, that is the 8 the club are choosing to focus on.
  7. Liverpool Echo journalist talks about it on TalkSport: http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/kickoff/130522/beesley-porto-boss-pereira-has-spoken-everton-about-replacing-moyes-198172

  12. What's the difference between Bleacher Report and DeadSpin? Both seem to allow anyone to write for them.

  14. Vitor Pereira was in London today to meet with two Premier League clubs.. http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/fcporto/fc-porto-vitor-pereira-porto-liga/1452122-1304.html
  15. A few other places have picked up on the website source now, I suspect a statement will be made this week.
  16. My first Xbox was £99, Xbox 360 was £270 (second one was £140) and I suspect this one will start off around £400. It doesn't appeal to me, I think they were scraping the barrel, their launch featured a tie-in with NFL to promote fantasy football real-time updates, it seems pretty desperate? There's nothing wrong with current generation consoles Finished Uncharted 3 this evening, I enjoyed the whole series.
  17. Xbox one, such a poor name. They're not talking about games much, they're trying to push it as a set top box. It has an EPG and a Blu-Ray drive.

  19. I'm interested but I think I'm a PS convert now, PS+ has been a major selling point, it's around £4 a month for two/three free games. If I do get an Xbox 3.0 it'll be next year when it's been out for several months.
  20. This is the new Batman game trailer:
