I don't think it is, Paul Wilson himself is an Evertonian. He says "Everton" on the badge is superfluous, I'd agree with that. He says his Latin teacher told him Nil Satis Nisi Optimum makes no sense. Probably the case; (Nil - nothing, Satis - enough, Nisi - except, Optimum - best)

From what I can make out, it's the same people behind the campaign and they believe Tyrrell, as Communications Director should have communicated more openly with the fans about the crest. I'm not 100% sure.

I'm in agreement with you Mark. It just doesn't look "Everton". It seems there's now a campaign to have Robert Elstone and Paul Tyrell (EFC Communications Director) sacked on the back of it. A site called EvertonArntWe.com had leaked a document believed to be written by Tyrell when he was LFC, it was a dossier on who which journalists were against Hicks and Gillette when at Liverpool. Not too sure about what Elstone has done - other than sign off on the badge. It's a high profile error though, each time the team wear it next season is a stark reminder of the mistake.

It is funny how Tahiti managed to qualify, I watched some of the Oceania Nations Cup and the stand was a just a large hill that people sat on to watch the game.
